"The 'lake view' twin room was a complete rip-off. In similar rooms I've stayed in before, you'd open the door and be greeted by a beautiful view. Here, photo one is the view right after entering, photo two is from the sofa by the window, and photo three is when you're pressed right against the glass. You can only see a tiny bit of the lake from the third position, yet they still dare to call it a lake view room. The bathroom was also tiny, and the sink was outside the bathroom, so there was nowhere to put your clothes when showering. The staff, both at the front desk and in the restaurant, were very friendly and welcoming though."

"Our trip went from a slight disappointment on the first night at Green Town to a delightful surprise on the second, when we checked into Fanli, located in the innermost part of Qiandao Lake. While the location is a bit remote and the lake view isn't as expansive, its peacefulness and lack of crowds are definitely its strong suits. We still enjoyed a beautiful lake view right from our balcony. The front desk staff proactively upgraded us to a complimentary cinema bubble family room, and impressively, didn't even ask for a positive review in return! We were also pleasantly surprised to find three generous servings of breakfast, with a good variety of dishes. I highly recommend this place for anyone traveling by car."

"Amazing living area. Really nice stay. Did find hairs on the bed head. Overall great service our butler helped out where she could. Pool wasn’t open even tho it was 30 degrees and very hot. And the kids weren’t aloud to have fun in the indoor pool. Kept getting told off for small jumps into the pool. Such silly rules. Our house was located a ways away from the resort, so a car is useful if you are wanting to use the resorts facilities."

"On weekends, I brought my baby to Qiandao Lake to lie flat. I chose this mountaintop wild luxury homestay and really dug a treasure! Avoid crowded scenic spots and sit on the front line of Qiandao Lake Mountain and Lake. The whole family can spend a relaxing holiday easily. 🍀 The large lakeside lawn is full of 1888 ㎡, facing the beautiful scenery of the lake and mountains. The children fly kites, chase bubbles, run wildly and enjoy themselves. The swing by the lake takes a large film of parents and children. The hotel also presents a travel shooting service. The children run and play. We are paralyzed on the lounge chair and blow the lake breeze to empty the baby. 🌊 The infinity pool built on the mountain has its own shallow water area for parents and children. In summer, you can play in the water without leaving home. The night light is on. A glowing tree by the pool reflects into the pool like a starry river. The atmosphere is directly full. The room is an elegant new Chinese style, hidden in the greenery of the mountains, the supplies are equipped with Le Labo wash and care, Dyson hair dryer, the comfort of the stay is full, the night is soaked in the beautiful 🛁 to wash away the fatigue of the journey, and the night is particularly pleasant. One-stop food, drink and fun: authentic Qiandao Lake pepper fish head fresh and tender, special wild Jiaojiao taste unique baby super love, and can experience retro Beetle Bread Kiln DIY pizza, parent-child hands-on interaction super joy. Taking advantage of the baby's nap, we sat by the window and enjoyed afternoon tea, enjoying the two people's time with the lake view. Whether it is a two-day and one-night short trip, or a multi-family trip, it is suitable to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a slow parent-child time between the lake and the mountains, which has been included in the second brush list!"

The room was warm, cozy, and wonderfully quiet. The bed was big and incredibly comfortable, ensuring great sleep. The bathroom was spacious and well-appointed. The best feature was the house's layout—separated from others, it felt private, secluded, and truly integrated with the natural surroundings. It was the peaceful haven we needed. The hotel territory is vast and beautifully maintained, perfect for calming walks. The dining experience was excellent: the food was tasty, presented in a clean environment, and offered a satisfying variety. Unfortunately, the main attraction became a source of stress. The culture of quiet, therapeutic relaxation expected at a hot spring was completely absent. The most visitors were behaving like they are in a public swimming pool, with yelling and kids jumping, splashing, and running around. This chaotic atmosphere made it impossible to relax or enjoy the springs' intended benefits. It felt like a disaster for anyone seeking the tranquil, restorative experience hot springs are known for. Despite the hot springs issue, our overall stay was very nice, thanks to the superb room, excellent food, and beautiful grounds. The core product—the accommodation—is outstanding. I will definitely return, but I will plan my visit for a much less busy period (perhaps weekdays or off-holidays). If you are seeking solitude and quiet, I highly recommend the rooms but advise cautious timing for the hot springs. This place has all the ingredients for a perfect retreat; you just need to find the right moment to enjoy them fully."

"The room is clean and tidy. I have high requirements for beds. I am very satisfied with the cleanliness of the beds and quilts and sheets here. I slept on the bed for two nights and didn't feel back pain, which is rare in other accommodations. According to the boss, the beds are all customized by him. You can see the green mountains outside when you lie on the bed. It feels so free. The dishes are also first-class, one fish and two dishes, and there are vegetables grown by the boss's family. Anyway, I can't control the taste of eating too much. Close to the Firefly Park, the flying fireflies are definitely worth seeing, which is amazing. If you go, make an appointment in advance to take pictures of the night view. The boss's family is very amiable and friendly. In general, this is a place where you can relax every year. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it is quiet and peaceful."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the InterContinental Qiandao Lake. The room was absolutely stunning, and the lake view was breathtaking. One of the most special features of the room was the bathroom design — the bathtub was positioned so that you could relax while enjoying the beautiful lake scenery, which made for a truly memorable experience. The staff were polite, friendly, and always willing to help. I also loved the hotel's interior design, which features a lot of natural wood, creating a warm and elegant atmosphere throughout the property. The breakfast offered a good selection of both Western and Chinese dishes. There is also a nice local Chinese restaurant nearby where you can try the region's famous fish, which I highly recommend. The only downside was transportation. Unfortunately, I missed my train because we were unable to get a taxi for about 40 minutes. Even though I tried to arrange transportation in advance, it was still not enough. The hotel does not provide a taxi service, so I would strongly recommend allowing plenty of extra time if you need to catch a train or have a fixed schedule. Apart from that, everything was wonderful, and I had an amazing stay. I would happily return in the future ☺️"
