Beautiful area. Hotel is adorable and well kept. Service is fast and friendly. Room is clean and comfortable. Will be staying again.

I understand this place is under new management and the staff are very friendly otherwise this would have been a zero star review. I was told they were remodeling the place in 5 room blocks each year. The great reviews MUST be from those rooms as the room I stayed in (101) was disgusting. I didn't have any other choices to stay for the pony swim so I stuck it out and I could tell that the bedding was clean. I could overlook the outdated furnishings, The mismatched sheets and the pillow cases not big enough for the pillows. I could even overlook the musty/old smell but the tile, the carpet the tile and the bathroom were just horrible. While replacing the carpet would cost money the rest of the place could be cleaned up with some good old fashion sweat equity. Someone could just go in and deep clean the grout and re-seal it. Actually deep clean around the edges of the entry door, wipe the hand prints off the trim and door itself, etc. The shower had mildew between the two pieces and the floor of the shower needed a good cleaning as it was stained with dirt. A REALLY easy thing is to put a cover on the absolutely disgusting ironing board hanging on the wall. It was FILTHY and hanging right there for all to see. The comforter and sheets had stains on them, they looked like old stains and looked like maybe grease as they were kind of black in color. The hairdryer had some sort of orange substance melted on the edge, I tried to clean it off but it was really on there.

Worst run down place I’ve stayed in. The pictures do not match the bookings. The building was built in the 70/80’s and it showed it. Falling apart. Dirty bathrooms and most likely original mattresses. The only good thing is the coffee/pastry voucher you get for the shop next door. If we could’ve stayed somewhere else we would’ve but going on pony swim weekend, everything was booked. Please avoid this place.

Love this place buttttt our cottage was not cleaned well at all. You just cant leave a tip envelope out when you know you did a crappy job. Dust around every object where only the easy to get spots have been wiped i.e. sit on the sofa bed and look at the tv, tv stand, converter box, etc The 1/2 screened porch has pine needles, spiders, webs, deer ticks, and ants. You gotta sweep that. The bathroom....cleaning person.....you know better....clean that bathroom. Use lysol wipes (left a container of them on the kitchen counter for you) and lift the seat....my god it was gross. I just ran down to the dollar general, got wipes, paper towles, and orange spray. May I suggest a cleaning check list. Those really come in handy especially if you have alot on your plate. Not being rude at all but many reviews are inregards to lack of cleanliness. Weeding also needs to be done. Not just spray and let it go such as around the pool and the dang parking lot. This place is in the best spot in town. You have a great pool and many rooms. Need deep cleaning, weeding, landscaping, etc done. Contact my husband and I. We can work something out for a week. ＜3

Love this place! It is my home away from home now. Very friendly staff, and walkable to great restaurants and shops. The pool is great as well!
