I was very disappointed with this campground. We stayed in a tent next to the a bathhouse. The bathhouses use septic tanks and the showers wouldn't drain toilets were clogged and overflowing. The park would pump the tank multiple times a day. The bathrooms would not be cleaned during or after when the septic water would back up into the shower house. This is not acceptable and also a serious health hazard. The campground is booked beyond feasible capacity for the existing septic system and are not concerned with the safety of the campers. I was disgusted by the number of children in the bathhouses barefoot. Who knows where they were dumping the sewage pumped from the septic tank. Corporate needs to be made of this health and safety violation.

STAY AWAY. We were charged $250 for supposed damage to a mattress with no notice or authorization. I found an inexplicable charge on my credit card. I have called them multiple times over several months and have only received vague information from brand new employees. No manager has called me back after multiple requests. No evidence of damage provided. The policy and procedures at this location are not trustworthy.

We stayed in a park RV rental and I DO NOT recommend. They do not repair anything in the campers. The toilet seal was broke so all you smelled was sewer at all times. When I said something to them they gave me stuff to dump down the toilet which masked it for 3 mins. The sink didn’t have a stopper to wash the dishes. I asked for one of those on day 1 and never received so had to go buy my own. It was dirty as if they would have just replaced the linens that’s it. Our camper did not have an Awning which broke off and they never replaced so we had to sit in the sun. The door to get in and out got stuck and you had to struggle to open and close it. The maintainence guy said they put in requests and it never gets approved to get replaced. It would appear like they just run them in the ground and then replace the whole camper. The shades were broken or missing so you couldn’t even have privacy to change or sleep in your camper. The only reason I gave it a two was because the water park was included in the stay and the kids enjoyed that. The bath houses were okay. We just were not prepared to use them. We were going to use the camper but the sewer smell was so strong we couldn’t use the shower.

Extremely disappointed. There were a group of us and we booked together. They did not honor our sites and we were not put together. They wanted more money to fix the problem. The sites were extremely tight, to the point where RVs didn't fit. No security. Camp store lacking. Showers & bathrooms were clean. Would not stay there again.

Rented 3 rvs from June26-29th 2025. Warning do not rent rvs. We stayed last year in cabins and they were pretty good. The rvs look nice but the smell and maintence of them is horrible. The beds are like sleeping on the floor. The pool this year was neglected and had a black ring around it. Not cleaned regulary. Very disappointed. The water park was decent but bigger kids want a pool to swim in. The kids don't care about the uncleaniness, just saying. I won't go back unless they can rectify the problems or I get my own camper. It is right next to the park entrance which is nice. The atmospere is friendly no loud parties and family oriented for the most part.

We just came back from a two day trip to Chincoteague and stayed In a Deluxe cabin. This place in a throwback to the 60’s KOA campgrounds and hasn’t been touched since. Boy does this place need some work. The only good things are the location and the attached water park. The hole place floods with any significant rainfall and the roads are not maintained. The front desk people were nice but way over worked with having to handle both the store and checking duties. Be ready to wait along time to check in for sure. The front door lock barely opened and only by me. My wife was never able to get the old lock to work. There were hardly any dishes or utensils in the kitchen and the single fry pan looked like it cooked asphalt. There were two tv’s that turned on but zero signal on either. WiFi connected by was like useless and suppppper slow. The toilet didn’t flush unless you held down the handle. Toilet paper is located in a spot that forced you to standup to reach it. The beds were literally on a piece of plywood and there was barely room to go along the side of the bed. The pillows were super hard as well. The gas stove knob broke on first use and was previously repaired with duct tape. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. We will never return here.

Such a cool resort-styled campground! This is a special place. The amenities are fantastic and the staff were very friendly and helpful. This had the best pool (and mini water slide park) of all the campgrounds that we're taken our family too. We will definitely be back!

Will be spending lodging $$ elsewhere in the future. I have been staying on this island in various accommodations for more than a decade. This campground is expensive and NOT worth it. $120 a night gets you a safari tent with a completely filthy floor and broken door zipper. Basically we’re sleeping with a door wide open because the zipper keeps breaking and now it’s after hours. 3 out of the 5 hand soap containers in the women’s bathroom are broken or empty and the camp sink to wash dishes is filthy. Website images show coffee makers in units but they don’t exist. Not impressed and won’t be returning.

Grungy cabins, horrible service, inadequate supplies, and no wifi. The cabins are expensive and should be well cleaned and well stocked. There was no soap. There were not enough dishes, or towels. This place never answers their phone and when you go to the office to ask for the missing items, you have to wait until the next day because nobody is working. The ceiling fans has a years worth of dust on it. There is no wifi, which also means there is no TV. Staff can't or won't help and they don't seem to care about anything; they give lame excuses about the wifi being "busy", but it isn't even available. The location is nice, but I will probably find someplace different next time we visit Chincoteague.
