Rigveda Resort

We stayed here two nights. The hotel was adequate. Online reviews made it sound like it is fabulous and sometimes when that happens your expectations go up. So, it was definitely somewhat underwhelming as far as the facilities were concerned. However, the views from the hotel were breathtaking and that may have contributed to the great reviews. Especially, this is the first hotel that we stayed in surrounded by the mountains, so it definitely has a great vibe. Dinner was served at 7:30pm and it was definitely tasty – simple fare like hot rotis, subji, rice, daal, and a sweet. A bunch of kids run the show and they seem to be very polite and hardworking. Janveer was our guy and was very helpful. For the following morning, they packed breakfast for us and made coffee. The rooms are clean, but the beds and furniture are very basic. Bathroom is also very basic, but clean. For the amount they charge, I would expect the rooms and bathrooms to be much much better.

You charged me 2. 5 times the fare for a room that has poorly made furniture and latches that cut your fingers when try to lock/unlock the door. I have already raised a complaint on the same

We stayed during our Chardham tour of 2022 in May for our Yamunotri darshan, Property is located in a scenic spot. Staffs are polite and courteous, Food was delicious and served hot and fresh. Special Thanks to the owner of the property Mr.Shivraj Bisht for upgrading my bed during our stay. An excellent hotel to stay if you are visiting Barkot or Yamunotri.

Beautiful location. it is away from Barkot and uphill a winding road. the remoteness adds charm to the location. The staff are very courteous and ensured all our requirements are met even ensuring breakfast was ready by 6 AM.
