This place is showing its age. The ice machine was broke and the towels were like thin sheets of sandpaper. The staff was nice, especially the maid. Breakfast offered only from 8-9 was a burrito. Go to McDonalds or the pancake restaurant for breakfast. Trip advisor recommended? Really?

The owners Mark and Sue are fantastic hosts, generous and gracious. The rooms were clean and spacious. We booked the larger room with two king size beds. Breakfast was cooked while you wait each morning, so fresh and hot. Location is central and within walking distance of several stores. Highly recommend staying.

Very clean place to stay people that run the motel were very nice easy to get along with you very helpful places to go and want to see. I would recommend it to anybody that wanted to stay there. It would be a great place to stay.

This is a charming place. It is in the new section of cherokee reservation. There is plenty to do just walking outside this hotel. The staff is very kind. The rooms are very clean. The elk kept on coming through the whole time we were there. We sat out on the rocking chairs and enjoyed the view. All rooms have a pretty view of the mountain from the valley of the town. They have a cozy outdoor lobby fun to relax and watch the action on the reservation. There is a park in walking distance. The entrance to the smoky mountain forest is just one mile down the road, lots to see there. I will definitely come again. It is a family owned run hotel with a great staff. Who cares about each guest. Good wholesome people. I will definitely come again a great stay!

We based our reservation on the reviews. There mist be more than one location because this place is a smelly dump. I opened the door and immediately met with a musty odor. I should have known something was up since the windows were open. Furniture looked like it was from a welfare store. It was beaten to death and door coming off one cabinet. Beds were pathetic. Carpet was dirty and torn. Do your family a favor and run from this place. Sleep in your car if you have to.

From check in to check out our stay here was excellent. The owner and his wife were very sweet. The room was clean and the bed and pillows were very soft and comfortable. You can walk to just about everything in the heart of Cherokee. I loved the rocking chairs on the front. We watched the sunrise over the Smokies as we drank our coffee each morning. Breakfast was very good and the breakfast area was open so you can get a great morning breeze.

Bedding, including mattress, needs to be replaced. Furniture is outdated and the room in general needs to be refreshed.
There was an overwhelming odor of room refresher or perhaps some type of cleaner.
The room, in general, did appear to be clean.

Hit or Miss
Very nice gentleman at check in. The room and bathroom were nice sized but I have to question the cleanliness due to mold and old coffee in the coffee pot.
