We like this hotel the most out of all the hotels we stayed in Chengdu. The lobby was so beautiful and peaceful. Hot ginger tea was so yummy. The staff welcomed us with the smiles and friendliness. Tho they couldn’t speak or understand English. They were so prepared to welcome us and use the translator tool to communicate. Greatest hospitality we experienced in China. Location is very peace and the hotel really stands out on the quiet street. So pretty at night and it’s not far from the Kuanzhai street. Room was a bit small but beautifully decorated and clean. Everything was provided in the room and free to take home. Breakfast was delicious and the uncle at buffet was so helpful and very enthusiastic to work and ask us to try everything.

I had an outstanding experience at Dorsett. I arrived in Chengdu super early in the morning from overseas. While checking in, I asked if it was possible to let me check in a little earlier than normal and the reception staff (English name ”Sunshine”) was graciously accommodating. However, while waiting in the lobby until my promised check-in time arrived, the front desk manager (English name ”Cinderella”) arrived at around 8:00 to start her shift. She saw me sitting in the lobby looking tired and immediately checked with her coworkers on my situation. Then she approached me, said that she found out about my situation from her staff and immediately checked me in, much before the official time. In addition, she upgraded me to a better room. It was quite a pleasant surprise. After a long international flight, I was able to relax in a very comfortable bed. I hope that employees like Cinderella are proactively appreciated by the management for their hard work and excellent service attitude and given more senior positions. She certainly deserves it. And I wish this level of service becomes a common occurrence everywhere. P.S: After I left the room to meet a friend, I came back to find fruits, plates and complementary Evian water laid out on the table for me Another pleasant surprise. The room heating may need an upgrade. Hope that is made stronger in the future. Definitely staying here again next time!

We stayed 4 nights. The experiences were fantastic for us. Location is superb as the hotel is in between Tianfu and Chunxi metro stations within walking distance roughly 10 mins (we traveled with a 3 years old kid). Hotel services are really good. We were allowed to checkout late at 16:00 with no additional charge, still to note that we traveled during December which is low travel period. Our room is clean everyday which is appreciated. Price is relatively affordable. We decided not to buy breakfast coupon due to the surrounding area has a lot of food options, which is of course cheaper. The hotel staffs were extremely helpful. However, be aware that they do not speak English. So having a translator app with you is a must (as always). Another consideration (but for us is ok). Most hotels in China allow smoking. So do not surprise if you smell cigarette in the hotel or even in your room. We asked for a non smoking room and got a room without any cigarette smell though so that is good. In general, if I am in Chengdu again, I know this is a good hotel that I can stay again.

it was a very nice stay thanks to the kind and friendly staff🤗 they are solution oriented. Breakfast is nice, the rooms are clean and size is enough. They have free self laundry. Just a little suggestion they can change the elevator card reading system 💡 Overall good value for money!

After comparing the reviews with my friends,we chose this hotel. When we arrived at the lobby, it was bright and spacious. We were greeted by a staff member as soon as we entered. Every staff member was smiling and enthusiastic. The overall experience was very good. There was also a butler who added WeChat when we checked in. He would care about and greet us every day. If we needed anything, we could contact him at any time. It was very convenient. In addition, we were given welcome fruit. Next time we come to Chengdu, we will choose to stay here again.

This Ritz-Carlton hotel is in an excellent location for families. The Taikoo Li and IFS shopping area is only a few minutes away by metro or Didi. The Chengdu Panda Reserve Base is a very reasonable distance (30 minutes drive). The facilities are very nice. The lobby has a great view from the 25th floor. The cafe there also has good coffee and food. The room was very comfortable and clean, with an excellent coat closet. The bathroom is one of the best-equipped we have seen. It has a fully-equipped Toto bidet (automatic opening lid, washing, drying, warming), a convenient hair-dryer outlet inside the drawer, a nice tub and shower. We had the twin room (which was really full-size beds) that was plenty of room for us and our son. Each bed already came with 4 pillows each. All the hotel staff demonstrated excellent service. Especially Lucia Shang at the front desk reception. She was very helpful and answered all of my questions (in English). I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a central location and well-equipped facilities.
