This is a truly special place - you feel as if you are in a world of your own. The environment is calm and peaceful - you can literally hear a pin drop.... The buildings has been well-restored with comfortable rooms which are beautifully appointed proving more than promised - e.g. coffee and tea facilities in the room that are not listed in the description. We were not able to try the gourmet restaurant as it was not open. The Brasserie was OK but not special, but the breakfast was excellent . Service was friendly and attentive. All in all a visit I would like to repeat!

The location of the hotel is quite abandoned, situated in the grape- and lavender fields with a nice view of the surrounding mountains. With the arrival, the entrance of the hotel is nicely located in the park, and our hostess brought us to our hotel room, located in one of the side buildings, the hotel room was from a excellent quality (fresh fruit, warm and complete bathroom e.g.) As in the area there are no restaurants, the only real possibility is to have dinner in the hotel; the menu list is, softly to say, basic and the dishes haven't reached our expectation, despite the real friendly services of the young male servants. Our strong recommendation is to change the chef and his staff to increase the quality of the menu list and the dishes. The wine of the chateau is recommendable. Best regards, Willem

Little did our family of 7 know when we booked 4 rooms at this stunning château recommended to us by the Hôtel Chouleur Margaret in Nîmes that it would be a highlight of our 2 week stay in the south of France. Not only are the expansive grounds spacious & attentively maintained, we never tired of the scenery surrounding the château, majestic craggy mountains, lavender fields freshly shorn, vineyards, vast sunflower fields swaying in the breeze, heads smiling at the sun. All of this beauty could be admired (and WAS!) while cooling off in the pool. Our 4 rooms were located in the main building; varying in size & direction, my husband & my room was the largest boasting floor to ceiling wood paneling & windows overlooking the gardens & pool, a sitting area, 2 fireplaces, & spacious bathroom with double sinks, separate bathtub & shower room, toilet, supplied with plush towels, robes & slippers. Another room had an eastern exposure with a charming private balcony with table & chairs to enjoy your morning coffee on or glass of château wine in the afternoon. The unique circular roomed bathroom defies explanation. If you’re curious when you book, ask to stay in room #3. All rooms had their charms, comfortable king sized beds with high quality bed linens, decorated to a high standard as befitting a 5* establishment including a local treat on your pillow at bedtime. Breakfast was served on the terrace (weather permitting) with views of the property & mountains beyond. How thoughtful staff were to set up a table of 7 for our family breakfast each morning, very much appreciated. A tower of croissants said “bonjour” to us along with small jars of seasonal apricot jam, honey & pâte à tartine along with crusty baguette, a basket of sliced dark bread & a vanilla flavored petite Bundt cake which was delicious & hard to resist! Freshly squeezed orange juice, tea & coffees of your choice, in our case carafes of it kept everyone happy. A buffet table of locally sourced meats & cheeses, fruits, brioche bread, sweet breads, cereals & yoghurts were on hand as well as eggs & bacon to order. No one went away hungry or could complain of “nothing to eat.” The château’s generous breakfast hours meant there was no rushing; even those sleeping in were fed. Breakfast staff & staff throughout the château consistently were delightful & lovely to interact with; they spoke English well. Manon, Anna from Thessalonia, Kyllian, & Mak who manned the bar but filled in wherever there was a need, all deserve recognition for their outstanding professional service & genuine friendliness throughout our stay. Our adult children especially enjoyed seeing them daily & hearing about their lives. Laura & Marile at reception were our first introduction to the château. After traveling overnight from the US then driving to Salettes from Marseille airport we must have looked quite the sight but Laura & Marile could not have been more welcoming; with drinks offered, bags unburdened we qu

The Chatiau Les Oliviers de Salettes is an outstanding place to unwind. The food, the staff, the accommodation were all amazing. Marila checked us in and told care of spa selections, restaurant choices, and paces to visit. Everyone we were in contact with made our stay special.

We have been traveling extensively in France for over 40 years. The hotel's setting and the main building are enchanting and the staff engaging and delightful. Sitting outside and savoring the sceneryis good for the soul. The starred retaurant's accolades are well earned. The "Grill" repertoire is rather basic. We were expecting a higher grade bistro menu considering the talent of your chef. Our room is the "annex" was quiet and attrative. But there were definitely problems that were discouraging. In the bathroom, the rainwater shower produced nothing but very hot water one day, and nothing but cold water the second day, even though hot water was available at the sink. The sink was of a good size, but there was no suitable place for personal toiletry kits. Placing them temporarily on the toilet seat is awkward. There is a fairly bright light near the shower and a very low wattage light way above the sink. That is a very dim idea, making shaving, putting on makeup, etc a twilight zone experience. Frankly, the furniture in the room had a faux.movie set attractiveness, but seems of motel grade. There is s nominsl desk, and no chair for it. I had to pull out a plug under the desk to charge electronics with no other outlets in the bedroom. The large bed was too soft and not very comfortable. We appreciated having English language news channels on the television and fairly reliable wifi. We didn't use the pool or spa, but they are definitely valuable assets. Would we stay here again? Perhaps. The fact that there is only one menu in the restaurant and no a la carte options is a negative. It is difficult to enjoy your extensive wine list when they only option is a 6 or 8 stage tasting menu. The Grill.Bistro definitely needs an upgrade in menu.

My wife and I stayed here as part of our honeymoon journey and it was our favorite part of the entire journey, including London, Paris, and Nice. The Chateau itself is very nice and surrounded by breathtaking views all around. The staff were wonderful and pleasant. The breakfast was great and their restaurant is an absolute experience for dinner.

Lovely location, excellent service and hosting (a very kind and helpful person at the reception helped my mother, (who is an elderly person) and me with a table booking outdoor close to the entrance of the main building. We have very much appreciated your hospitality. Thank you!
