clean quiet and comfortable accommodation, room was large, excellent value for money and a continental breakfast was included, staff efficient and helpful, we have stayed here on many occasions when visiting the UK

I was quite disappointed with my stay. The beds were very dated and uncomfortable, and the whole hotel felt tired and in need of refurbishment. Cleanliness was also an issue – everything could do with a thorough deep clean. Overall, it felt neglected and not up to the standard I expected.

Shocking service, 15 minuets to find member of staff to serve at the bar, eventually the receptionist came but didn’t know how the pumps worked. The room was just ok but to get there the carpets were disgraceful really badly stained. Continental breakfast is tea, coffee and toast if you have the time to hold the lever down as none of the toasters worked properly. Cooked breakfast is £5 extra, l did see some being served and the toast was the best option. WILL NOT BE RETURNING. .

From the images and location this hotel looks stunning. Upon arriving it was quickly noticed that the hotel is in much need of an upgrade in every aspect. The decor is very dated, no locks on the toilets in reception, cloudy water from the taps, stale beer from the bar taps, cold shower ( staff tried to reset the boiler), dirty towels in the toilets Body wash and hand soap were the same, looked just like washing up liquid :/ Free continental breakfast was included which was ok, the cheese was sweaty and once the very small amount of pastries had gone, that was it, no refilling. Coffee ran out as did the cups. Avoid the sausages if you go for a cooked breakfast , I can only describe them as mushy The one thing that was pleasant other than the location, were the staff. They are extremely friendly, I hope the owner or someone can invest in this place. Has such potential to be beautiful but really was like something out of a comedy sketch

I stayed here with another friend as we were on a hen night in Quorn. Check in was easy and the staff were friendly. The room was a really good size and so quiet, I had a great sleep, the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good although you had to pay £5 if you wanted a cooked breakfast which we hadn’t realised. Not expensive though. Overall very good value for what we paid

Terrible stay! This hotel was really not up to scratch. I checked in quite late and ended up having a lukewarm shower at best so decided to run the bath to warm up (the shower was already starting to fill up the bath as it didn’t drain quickly enough with the power of the shower). The water started coming out of the bath tap an odd yellow colour then turned a gross orange!! I left it in the bath so the hotel staff would see it the next day but as it was so late and I’d already had my shower I just went to sleep. A loud obnoxious guest was on the phone very loud at 4.30am which was not ideal (I know that’s not the hotels fault!), but very much disturbed me. Breakfast was a sad looking cold buffet and separate table for toast and coffee. All cooked breakfast was the same, no choices, but it made sense when it came out. Bacon cooked on a radiator, half a field mushroom, no hash browns on a child’s size plate. I dread to think if they even had a veggie or vegan option! I’m not sure what they supposedly charge for breakfast as it was part of room rate, but whatever it is you don’t get value for money. I then used a public toilet in reception. There was 3 cubicles, 1 was out of order, one had the seat almost falling off and the third was blocked and also had no lock on door. I complained as I checked out and there was someone else also complaining and requesting a refund at reception, the poor staff seem very undertrained, overworked and under appreciated. I will be complaining directly to the hotel manager too. It’s no wonder people stick to places like Premier Inn’s because you can pretty much guarantee the quality every time you stay! Very disappointed and should’ve just stayed at home!

Would recommend this hotel, good location and parking is easy. Suggestion: get a car charging point put in the car park and that would give you more revenue and make it better for visitors.

Lack of care and concern - no tomatoes or mushrooms with the cooked breakfast! Plug missing on our basin so we had to move rooms for the second night as the first room had not been cleaned on our return. Entrance doors left open all night unattended which we felt uneasy about.  However a lovely building.
