We didn’t get the room with two beds we had reserved. When we went up to the king room we were given, there was a pile of dirty towels in the floor. I was going to call down to the front desk to tell them, but the room phone didn’t work. Everyone I ran into had a complaint, ranging from going to room already occupied, no hot water, no water at all, and the room not being ready until after 8 pm.

Staff was excellent. Very friendly and helpful. Convenient location to the downtown area. Publix right next door. Parking was limited but parking garage was next door. Room was clean but bathroom tub was a little dated. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay again.

Alisha Baskins was excellent she went out of her way to help us this was our first trip to Charleston so we had no idea how to get around she told us about the free bus service they had that would take us around the city and since they didn't have any paper maps she installed one on our phone. Along with everything else, she also walked us to the bus stop, so we wouldn't get lost, which was like wonderful! Then we went to do our laundry on our last day here and they didn't have any quarters. So she went to the nearest store and got us quarters for our laundry, which I mean, who does that? So she was quite spectacular, not to mention her greeting every morning, was just filled with smiles. And sunshine and positivity, what a beautiful place, extremely clean, very happy people that work there and I would highly recommend it. I surely hope that she's recognized for all of the efforts that she puts forward.That seems to come so naturally to her, I would consider her a great asset if working for my company .

Nicely updated modern decor which makes up for some older feature like pop corn ceiling and old toilet paper dispenser and less than perfect shower tile work. Dehumidifier was a bit noisy. That said, room is clean and comfortable which you expect in this brand of hotel. Close enough to downtown’s historic area. Most of all, nice and friendly staff!!
