It’s located off the beaten path from downtown Charleston and twenty minutes away from Folly beach (traffic depending). One of the few selling points is marina proximity- The outdoor pool is at parking lot level and unimpressive; covered parking is minimal. While the Ground and First floors are well-presented, the upper chest room floors have peeling hallway wallpaper, a distinct water damage/mold sell, outdated fixtures, etc. Staff are extremely rude, unhelpful: we checked out after one night of our four night stay as the hotel didn’t meet our expectations. Last point: our luggage was left unsecured in a conference room after we were told there were bag storage capabilities.

I have booked this hotel a few times because it's close to Charleston and reasonable price wise (it is reasonable). The staff, however, was totally unfriendly this last time. First time I have arrived at a hotel as a Titanium Elite and was told my room wasn't ready. I said, can I leave my suitcase with you? No, put it in the conference room. They finally had my room ready after 4pm - and it REEKED like cleaning products. The AC barely worked all night. It kicked on and off all night. The pool is literally next to the street, which is not great. Other than the location, and inexpensive price, not really impressed. The hotel room bathroom looks really old too.

A mediocre experience
Location is relatively close to city center. We paid around 10-12 $to go to King street. Breakfast us good with scrambled eggs, sausages, croissants. They need to improve cleanliness. The first day we arrived I found a newly cut finger nail stuck to my sole while walking in the room. Corners of sink and mirror were quite dirty. Also there were bisquit scrumbles on the rug at corridors. Neighbors' kids next door were very noisy, I had a hard time sleeping.
