Embassy Suites by Hilton Charleston

I stayed here for one night. The check in people were decent enough. The parking guys were nice the rooms were standard for the chain. The atrium was big. The neighborhood looked run down. The breakfast was pretty good and filling. The view from the room wasn’t anything at all.

This hotel was disappointment. 1. Parking: two choices to pay for parking. Self parking across the street in a Mall for $12, or Valet for 21. I chose Valet...it was contracted to a private company where I paid via link and earned NO honors points. I did not want to park my care where I felt unsafe. 2. I stayed there for the pool. I went to the pool around 5:00PM and it was closed for cleaning! Why do you clean the pool during peak hours...and not when the pool is closed? I was inconveniencing. 3. The QR codes in the rooms to get to menus do not work. No room service, you have to pay at the restaurant and get your food yourself. 4. I could not charge my food to my room, and had to use my credit card...again...missing out on $$ for points. 5. My room was beautiful, omelet was great, and the employees were wonderful...however, I think they were tired of saying "I'm Sorry" to all the stuff that did not work. The restaurant has been complaining to management for months about lack of services, and It it apparent management has deaf ears. Not sure if I will return.
