Exceptional location. Cool, vintage-looking hotel. Rooms are very oldschool, which is cool. Bathrooms should have followed the same style.

I book a 500euro gift card for my parents in law. The validity is only of 2 years. When my parents in law tried to book a night the gift card was 5 months expired. Even after several emails, no help from the hotel. They cashed the 500euros and provided no service. How is this even legal in France?

This place was just unbelievable. The views, the charm, the hospitality, and all right be a glacier in the alps. I can’t say enough about this place. We stayed one night with our teenage children and had a blast. Hiked a few trails nearby, saw the museum, enjoyed the sun from the deck, saw the ice cave, and enjoyed some lovely meals. If you can add this to your travel stops and stay the night.

This is up at the top near the glacier. It’s very old. There was a wedding going on when I was there which seems like a cool idea. It says it was build more than 100 years ago for the first climbers. It has been renovated. It’s in a great spot and has a restaurant. It’s pretty cool.

Fabulous place to stay. Enchanting train ride up the mountain, straight into reception to be received warmly by Amy, who gave us the rundown on everything we could do. What a star she is! After exploring the area, the ice cave and the amazing views, as a group of 6 friends we were very well looked after by Elisabeth and team over supper and a "few" drinks. Basic but very comfortable room, hot shower,more views, a great breakfast. Perfect.

We visited this place a couple of months ago to attend a wedding! It is a spectacular venue to get married in. On the day you could not fault the place! A few months later my partner and I paid a staggering €32 to go back up on the mountain train to have lunch. It was very disappointing! There were no gluten free options for myself and they were unable to adapt some of the items for me to eat. The only item I could eat was the steak but without the pepper sauce. I asked for the steak to be cooked medium and it came very rare! It was hard and overcooked in the outside and nearly raw on the inside. Without the sauce too it tasted awful! The vegetables came like warm so it became a very unpleasant meal to eat. My partner felt the same about his too! One waiter was friendly but the other asked us what we would like to drink then disappeared and never came back to take our order. All in all we were extremely disappointed to say the least after experiencing such a wonderful wedding in July! One good thing to say is on a clear day the view is spectacular!
