The hostel is riight in the middle of downtown Tokyo close to skyliner and Ueno metto station and park. Its a capsule -style hostel but also have regular bunkbeds depending on the floor. The best thing is the sauna and bath facilities with a nice lounge to relax amd th only con is the vecinity of the railway though I didnt notice any noise due to the l window

It’s our first time in Tokyo. My family and I stayed in standard double bedrooms which have windows. We are really impressed with the hotel’s service. They have luggage deposit service for free. You can deposit your luggage before you check in and after you check out. They adjusted the direction of the escalator for us. The overall of rooms’ size and hotel is quite small, but it doesn’t bother that much. The location is so great that you can visit many famous shops like Uniqlo, Donki, GU near the place. And, it’s near a market and the train station including KS line. The restaurants near here are nice. The food tasted so delicious, even if we just randomly chose to eat. However, Ueno has a lot of clubs, so at night there’re several girls standing alongside the street with their guards. It may seem dangerous for someone.

Room size is as per mentioned, budget hotel type, accessible to JR station in 5mins walk, only smoke scent and they offered to room change, we just politely declined as we already unpacked and it get better with the air purifier

Great location. Close to subway, restaurants, pharmacy, bars, mini groceries and more. Stumbled onto the Harry Potter area which I didn’t know about nor interested in… but I was cool for my 6 year old. Definitely a great location for basing yourself to explore. Didn’t use the facilities - restaurant, men only hot bath 😳 etc. hotels stored bags until check in and our bags were in our room when we arrived.  Receptions staff fussed over my daughter and gave little gifts which makes kids happy. 
Rooms are tiny but we made a queen bed room work for 2 adults and a 6 year old with 3 giant ski bags (3 x 110 litre bags). Rooms were clean and quite modern. Usual wear and tear for a hotel. Staff were super friendly and happy to help. Comfy bed although on the soft side. 
Overall very nice experience for us very seasoned travellers. will stay again.

Loved the eclectic vibe! And the late-night check-in was a huge plus.

I called for a room cleaning. The janitor came in without knocking on the door. I walk out of the shower room naked, and the janitor came inside the room see me completely naked and still insist to move forward.?!￼🤦🏻♂️

I said more than 3 times to tell him to get out and he still stood there 🤦🏻♂️

The location is great. The three subway stations were close, so I could go to most places at once. There were 5 beds, including a sofa bed, so it was good for families to stay. There is no breakfast buffet restaurant, but the convenience store is right in front of you, so it was better to buy it and eat it. It was a pity that the wifi was a bit slow.

I made a reservation on the day because a triple room with a semi-double room and sofa bed was available!
The room was quite small, so I couldn't spread out my carrier (T_T)
But the amenities were plentiful and very nice!
The welcome drink of sweet sake was also delicious!
The only drawback is that all the nearby parking lots are expensive.

First off, this location is a bit out of the way, if you intend to stay close to the downtown...you have to take the ”Portliner” a few stops.

No issue for me, but did not realize this when I booked.
I chose it because of the onsen / sauna, and I was very satisfied: this was the best sauna / cold tub I had in Japan (so far).

Was hotter (and colder) than anything else. The actual hot-tub was good too, but I focus on sauna ＞ cold tub cycles more than anything.

Rooms are new and look good, if not a bit small. As expected. 

Stay for a night if you are on the fence...use the onsen...have a coffee-milk afterwards. You'll feel great.

Rooftoop bar / restaurant was nice as well and very friendly staff!

-Walkable from Susukino or use street car
- well equivalent with hot warm onsen, ultra heated sauna , larged rest area with cartoon, late night  food available .
- Helpful staff with big luggage keeping area.
- go out of hotel after check-in is possible. Staff will give you QR code.
