Spacious one Bedroom Apt with private entrance

Overall we had a very nice stay! A little hiccup to begin the trip due to difficult time obtaining the check in information and the host being out of the country at the time. That being said once I got ahold of VRBO and they reached out to the host, they responded right away and took care of us. The host and their daughter (who was taking care of the property while the host was out of the country) exchanged contact information with us and both were great about communication when we needed it! The daughter responded within minutes to an inquiry we had and even brought us extra towels when we needed them. We were in town for a lacrosse tournament and the house was super close to both locations of the fields (10 minutes to the one campus and about 2 miles to the other field). Port Jefferson was about 10-15 minutes away and was a great location to get a bite to eat, be near the water and enjoy the atmosphere!

Convenient location, clean but not for me I stay in a lot of rental places and I used to have a rental myself. The location was great and the place was clean. It had pretty much everything you might need for a few days: coffee, pots, dishes, etc. Lesslie, the host, was very communicative and brought extra towels when I asked for them. However, this wasn't the VRBO place for me:I found the bed unbearable: it was so soft you'd roll to the middle. I ended up cutting my stay short to sleep elsewhere. I also didn't love the email that threatened a 100 fine for leaving any lights on when you went out for the night. It made it hard to get back inside when we were getting home late.And the pit bull and rottweiler that greeted me Christmas morning when I was leaving to visit my parents' place put me over the edge. They were fine dogs - just barking - but after not getting any sleep, it was just too much. We checked out early.
