Saco River Motor Lodge & Suites

A group of friends and I booked the three bedroom suite for one night. It’s advertised for 8 people which we had. Upon checking in we were notified that I only booked this room for two people and would need to pay an additional 10$ per person for the room. I noted to the young lady that I found this odd for a room that is designed for large parties to have to pay additional money. But no matter, I would pay it. She said she was going to waive the fee and not to worry about it. I thanked her greatly. The room was average and relatively clean. The location is perfect for floating the Saco river. So all in all I considered my stay good until I checked my bank account the afternoon after checking out of the motel and noticed I had an additional charge on my card from them . I called to inquire about this and I was told that was someone in my group requested an extra blanket and that it was not there when they cleaned the room. I spoke to everyone in my party. No one requested a blanket. When speaking to the front desk at the hotel on the phone again, I was told I should not complain about the charge as she had waived the $60 “person‘s fee” . Without giving me a chance to speak, she insisted that someone in my party stole a blanket and the charge stands, then hung up the phone. I looked at other reviews , this is not the first time this establishment has done this recently.

Pool was well kept. Staff was very friendly and accommodating! Stayed 2 nights to visit Stone Mountain Arts Center!

Excellent stay! My husband and I loved staying in the Suite. It was clean and so roomy. I suggest bringing chairs for sitting out front or out back. The facility is so neat with a playground and a pool. The staff was great. Had a great sleep too! Close by eating. North Conway not far. We would definitely go back.
