I cannot say anything about the quality of the hotel, the rooms, or the restaurant. Our reservation indicated check-in time was 3:00 PM. We arrived just after 3:00 to find the hotel and restaurant both locked. We waited on the street outside for 90 minutes before driving another 50 miles to another hotel where we were able to get a last minute reservation. We left a note for the staff explaining that we’d waited and why we left. Eventually I got a reply saying (translated from French) “The establishment is closed early afternoon on Saturday but we always have a call forwarding service in order to give the access codes to our customers.” Great, except neither of these facts was communicated to us before our arrival and there was NO sign on the door listing Saturday hours, nor instructing us to call anyone for an entry code. If you book here, be sure you confirm right before you leave.

We stayed for one night on our way back to the UK. It is a very historic location and it has a cheese museum - it is a cheese producing area. Had we researched it properly we would have stayed longer. The hotel is made from an old building with a new extension. Check in was good and we were offered the option of moving to their sister hotel with AC because of the extreme heat. We stayed. The rooms are quite small but adequate. The bed is comfortable and the shower facility very good. It delivers what you need. There is a very pretty garden attached to the hotel. It is shaded under trees or umbrellas. You can eat inside or out. We ate out under the trees. There is a set menu with some dishes having supplements. The food is very good and the service friendly and efficient. The hotel also has secure on site parking. All staff we spoke to were extremely welcoming. I would not hesitate to stay again.

Nous sommes ravis de notre séjour à l’Hostellerie de l’Abbaye. Un petit problème électrique dans la salle de bain a vite été résolu par le patron de l’hôtel. Il nous a attribué un appartement à la place. Très confortable. Nous avons dîné au restaurant de l’hôtel et avons été également ravis des plats proposés. Petit-déjeuner impeccable. Nous recommandons fortement.

Réservation faite pour 3 nuits , quelques mois en avance et confirmée 15 jours avant par nos soins , mais nous n'avons jamais été informés qu'il y avait une soirée privée avec musique etc...d'une célèbre banque ( C.A) , donc " fiesta " jusqu"à plus de 3 heures du matin.Gérant nous a fait gracieusement, en plus de ses excuses, remise totale de notre première nuit avec deux petits- déjeuners . Dont acte pour ce beau geste commercial. Malheureusement en vacances lors de notre départ , nous n'avons pu l'informer du fait qu'aucun ménage n'a été fait dans notre chambre durant ces 3 jours de présence . Il semble y avoir de gros problèmes de management pour trouver ce genre de situation ! ( je n'ai jamais vu cela durant plus de 20 ans de fréquentation des logis pendant mon activé avec des déplacements chaque semaine.)- De plus prix de la chambre ( exigüe ) disproportionnée car exemple bloc de bois comme table de chevet , douche avec joints moisis , pas de tablette salle d'eau , bref besoin d'un bon lifting....( chambre 108 )- 87 euros non justifiés.

Pour un logis hôtel, ne pas proposer de menu pour le soir est surprenant! A la place une carte "bistronomique" qui va porter le prix d'un repas complet au delà de 40€ pour quelque chose d'assez moyen. C'est dommage car la chambre est super, l'accueil sympathique et le cadre agreable

Très déçus par la carte , seulement 3 entrées et 3 plats à choisir , desserts pas waouh du tout et service très moyen … en baisse depuis notre dernier passage… sauf les prix !!!! Je ne recommande pas…. Que se passe t il ? Ce n est plus le même restaurant!?!

Excellent établissement personnel et service au top, cuisine délicieuse, chambres spacieuses, bref je recommande vivement et sans modération cet établissement …de plus rapport qualité /prix de bonne facture…donc pas d hésitation !!
