We loved our stay at Island Place! Cedar Key is a great laid back place. The apartment 208 had a stupendously comfy bed, well equipped including a washer and dryer and dishwasher. It was clean and pleasantly decorated and the balcony was just bliss. The only thing that we had a proper problem with was that this had obviously been internally designed by someone tall. I could not reach the glasses and crockery in the high cupboards, the tumble dryer was up out of my reach, as was the microwave. In addition, the chairs on the patio were like those high bar chairs and I had no chance climbing up into them! Now if you're of average height you should not have any problem at all. Luckily my other half could get things down for me and I managed on the patio by using a smaller chair from inside. I think that all of the apartments are decorated differently as I know they all have different patio furniture, so if you are vertically challenged like me, check with the girls at Pelican Realty who look after them, as to which unit would be best for you. In spite of my struggle, we both really enjoyed our time in Cedar Key and would definitely go back here!
