The room was really nice as was the pool and staff. I would stay here again.

The good: The check in was easy and girl at front desk was friendly and helpful. The room felt clean overall. The free breakfast was decent. The parking was easy next to room. The price was fair. The not-so-good: The beds were terrible… rock hard. I also discovered a massive stain (appears to be blood) towards the bottom of the mattress when the fitted sheet slid up. I showed the girl at the front desk and she very kindly responded to thank me for telling them, but she didn’t seem shocked. Then another staff mentioned something about a mattress cover. This bed did not have a mattress cover, but the other one in the room did. A mattress cover should be to prevent beds from being stained, not to cover up a stain. Considering how uncomfortable the beds were, I can’t help but wonder if this hotel takes a bunch of old, stained mattresses and just puts covers on? Maybe that’s a common cost-saving measure even for the “chain hotels”. The electrical outlet next to the stained mattress was also broken, so maybe there was a major incident in this particular room. That’s obviously disturbing, but the beds in other rooms might be OK. Who knows… It’s too bad because we really liked the hotel otherwise.

What I didn’t like: the exterior door didn’t seal properly, the bathtub had mold and scum, thin walls (others guests and highway noise), interior hall/stairwell was rundown. What I did like: the friendly staff, the bedding, the mattress, the price, outdoor seating area, personalized note from housekeeping with restaurant recommendations.
