We stayed here because the price was right, and the location was near family we were visiting. We ended up checking out 5 days early. Not because there was no internet, no phone, and not even a working smoke alarm. Not because everything was ancient and smelled like mold and cigarette smoke. Not even because they don't do housekeeping on the "condo" units, and we had to buy our own trash bags, haul the trash to the dumpster, and buy soap and toilet paper. The straw that really broke the camel's back, was finding FLEAS in the room!!! YUCK!!!!! And what a shame, because the room was nicely arranged, and could have really been nice.

Excellent customer service from arrival to departure. Rooms are kept neat, tidy, with updated amenities, and awesome views of the lake.

This property is for sale and therefore the owners are not putting any money into it so it continues to run down. If this continues, the place will become more shabby. If it is sold, perhaps the new owners will fix it up. However, it's also possible that it will be torn down and replaced by lakeside houses. While the accommodations are mediocre at best, the lake is great. The restaurant across the street, also owned by the owners of the motel, is quite good. Hopefully the property will survive as a motel and restaurant together and get it fixed up. It's a great location.

The property is more rustic that presented in listing but it was clean and comfortable. We were basically the only guests but the woman at the front desk in the morning acted as if we were an inconvenience. It is in the middle of nowhere and there is no phone service but the WiFi was strong.
