Gorgeous rooms overlooking a lush garden with a quaint, old-fashioned feel. Great breakfast, lots of choice. Unfortunately we had a lot of rain so we didn't use the garden and pool much. The house is very close to all the restaurants too and is in a lovely neighbourhood.

Casa Vela is a great hotel and in a nice location! The rooms are tastefully decorated with comfortable beds and large rooms. The grounds are very nice with pretty gardens, little ponds with ducks and streams. The pool area is very nice with pretty views. Breakfast daily was nice with many options to choose from. The hotel location was on a quite street yet close to shops and restaurants. I would not hesitate to stay here again!

Beautiful hotel located in the middle of town in a very nice green garden. Incredibly friendly staff and so helpful. I was not allowed to carry my suitcase due to upcoming surgery and the lovely man at reception was kind enough to carry it to our room and on departure even to the car. I will definitely come back, but for more nights. Thanks again for the good care.

Lovely peaceful stay. Gardens are beautiful, with water features. Pool lovely. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Good breakfast buffet. When returning back after a morning out, there is coffee, cake and fruit, and the honesty bar is fab.

Lovely hotel and very pet friendly … However, €30 per night for a pet is we think a bit steep as it was €10 per night last year when we attended .. otherwise very good. Bar is on an honesty basis and staff very professional. The decor is so well balanced too.

We hope to be back
The grounds/ gardens, pools and sauna were a nice addition. The weather was good for us so we took advantage of the outdoor space (experienced a power outage that day) so the heaters not on. Our suite was lovely but we noticed a smell similar to "septic" coming from our bathroom. We thought it may have been the power issue-but it remained the whole time. The mattress could have been a bit more comfortable (personal choice) We still hope to return. Don't let those little items put you off. There is a wonder ambiance about this small hotel.

A hidden gem and an oasis of calm in a residential and less touristic part of Cascais. The gardens are beautiful and the hotel has recently added a sauna cabin behind one of the two swimming pools. The breakfast is a very good buffet with all you can wish for, including fresh orange juice and delicious pasteis de nata. The staff is efficient and very helpful. Rooms are all different but all well appointed and make you feel at home. Great location: walking distance ( 5-10 minutes) from the historic center, restaurants and cafes and 10 minutes to the beach or Marina.
