The Cascade Motel

Delightfully retro. My “cottage” was number 2. It was spacious. The kitchen area had a big fridge/freezer, cooker. Microwave, toaster, lots of plates, dishes and a delightful coffee percolator. Bed was really comfy. Parking right outside. The owner was very helpful with lots of recommendations for things to do and places to eat.

This family owned motel was a real find. We enjoy staying in family-owned hotels rather than in big chains and are usually not disappointed. Cascade Motel has a nicely groomed exterior with a large front lawn area for relaxing and enjoying the evening. There are a lot of little details that are obvious the owners are hoping to enhance their visitor’s stay. In the back is an area to cook on a grill and eat in a covered table area. The room was clean and comfortable. The tv is on streaming, so you need to enter your account number for services such as Hulu, Sling,Netflix, etc,otherwise local news stations aren’t available. They do provide WiFi. The rooms are cabins ie cabin-type depending I. The size with parking right next to your unit. If you book online I caution you to be sure you have the motel directly. I thought I was booking directly with the motel but had been routed to a third party booking company. When I realized my mistake I called Cascade Motel and Darlene was very helpful straightening things out. This is a good place to end your day of hiking and sightseeing.

This is a nice little find in a very small town. It is not a 5 star hotel by any means but it is not part of the plastic chain hotels out there and it was super clean and safe. Amenities are basic and good. Beds, sheets, towels, are all acceptable. Not luxury but nice. Bonus, you can park your motorcycle right next to the door.

Some friends and I stayed at Cascade Motel before heading out on a backpacking trip. The motel was quite inexpensive and I didn't expect much. However, it was extremely clean, cutely decorated, very quiet and the woman working the desk was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again!

Lisa at the front desk was very accommodating during our entire stay. They called early in the day to let us know we could check in early. They had games at the front desk as well as coffee and popcorn. Highly recommend for your stay in Cascade Locks.

Great big front lawns. There are Adirondack chairs to sit and enjoy the outdoors, cornhole set up and a fire pit as well. CLEAN rooms. Bed was ok-ish, Tv tiny but lots to stream. Horribly low toilet with NO grab bars to help you. Ok for one night.
