Hotel Coralina Island

Objectively, Hotel Coralina Island is a rundown 2-star hotel. Cash-cow for the French owner. It’s not bad, it’s just only 2 stars. The best thing about the place is that they provide complimentary drinking water, so that you don’t have to think about that. Else it’s quite basic. For example, they don’t provide towels for the bathroom. Each person gets a large towel for the bath, but nothing for drying your hands when you have been to the bathroom etc. We also had to ask for soap to wash our hands. There was only soap in the shower, and that was so diluted with water, that it was more water than soap. The tap for the sink was loose and nearly no water was coming out. Same was the case for the shower. There was hot water, but nearly no water came out of the shower head. I could barely wash my hair The room was ok, aircon was mostly working, but not entirely stable. There were mosquito nets (as the hotel is situated in a mangrove swamp, that is very necessary ). Also, the room was very poorly secured for mosquitoes . They could get in nearly everywhere. The restaurant was quite boring. For breakfast they claim that it includes a basket of bread (see picture). We never got that. We got something they called juice, but it was more like coloured water. In addition, it took more than one hour to actually get the breakfast after you ordered (even though you were there when they opened). Quite incredible, actually. Unfortunately, these are the objective facts about Hotel Coralina Island, so now you can make your own informed choice about going there. Psst - tip: I wouldn’t. (But the parrot was cute ).

This place is an absolute dream! We stayed for 5 nights, and I'm so glad we didn't just do 1-2 nights, since longer really gave us a chance to relax. The mangroves are incredible, and being able to swim and snorkel directly off your dock was magical! We did a snorkeling activity one day - and that was super fun too. Otherwise, we just lounged, swam, read books, and drank limonadas de coco. The restaurant is lovely, right in the mangrove, and the food was fantastic. The staff are all so exceptional. We would definitely come back, and cannot recommend it enough!

Wow, we were blown away with their hospitality and friendly service! We stayed in the bungalow on the water which was unbelievable! Just stunning! The meal choices are great, the food tastes wonderful and the staff are amazing. Hugo and Erika were our main contacts and they go above and beyond to make your stay perfect! The entire staff does just wish I knew everyone’s names correctly! Thank you to all for an unforgettable week!

My wife and I couldn't be happier with Coralina. Everyone there is so friendly and willing to help with any issue you may have. the hotel has different environments as well... Younger people and singles might prefer the side of the island that is more for party and music while couples and people looking for a more relaxed time might find the decks better. but whatever you chose, I'm sure you'll have a great time. the rooms are very good, great beds, great pillows (don't know why but many hotels don't have good pillows). And the food... everything we tried was really good. I highly recommend the shrimp rice and the seafood bisque.

Amazingly beautiful location- a small piece of paradise! The staff is very fr, the rooms were beautiful with stunning views and the food was great. We lived relaxing here for almost 4 days.

Hotel Coralina is a unique destination. We stayed in the Superior rooms, and they did not disappoint. A wonderful value for a very reasonable price.
