"The hotel is conveniently located in the center of Carloforte. The luxury suite is undoubtedly good, both for its size and for the large terrace which offers a beautiful view of the port/promenade. In addition to breakfast (complete and including local products), on the restaurant floor it is possible to have an evening aperitif on the large terrace. It is preferable to ask for rooms with a sea view to enjoy the open view, because it also has rooms overlooking the alley to the side. The staff is courteous. The good time to visit these places is early summer (June/first days of July), because the island of S. Pietro has pretty, rather small beaches (very few are equipped) which would not be as liveable, much less enjoyable, at high altitude. season."

"We loved Hotel Hieracon. Charming, old hotel in the best location in Carloforte. We had a sea view room overlooking the harbor. The garden out back is lovely. Our room was generously sized and the bathroom was very nice. Management is very friendly and gave us good restaurant recommendations. Only stayed one night but would love to return to Carloforte as it is a delightful town."

The view of the salt flats, flamingos included, is very nice and the distance to the town center is minimal.
