The accommodation and staff are excellent. Nothing was to much hassle for them even cones off parking for my oversize vehicle. If you get the chance the Crown Suite is amazing

It's a pretty hotel, with nice pool and jacuzzi. Disappointed, that a 4star hotel premium room, had two single beds pushed together with a sheet over them. Lovely gap between the two beds, with each mattress edge having a thick ridge on. And mattress springs poking through. Marks on the carpet, the mattress and bathroom wasn't the cleanest. £113. for 1 night My error, I didn't realise it what next to the train track either, so not the best stay

Hotel stay was part of a Great Rail holiday. Room was comfortable and had tea/coffee making facilities Free drink tokens for us both in return for forgoing housekeeping which was a good idea Good breakfast buffet and could order other items such as poached eggs. Good dinners as part of our package and nice meal for night we ate from menu

Been here on countless occasions while travelling from midlands to north Scotland where we live. As good as ever. The crown hotel is located in a beautiful little village just 3 miles from M6. Fabulous country walks and riverside walks close to the hotel. Staff professional and friendly. We had booked a deluxe double, but offered upgrade to deluxe king, at no extra cost . (G5 in cottages located next to the main part of the hotel) Room clean and well furnished, bed comfy, bathroom spacious and equipped with high end toiletries, spacious powerful shower. Breakfast choice good and everything available. Garden lovely and colourful, even in early autumn. Didn’t use gym and spa facilities, as run out of time as usual . Only tiny bug bare is parking, spaces tight and car park always seems full, possibly due to folk using gym facilities. However, with our delux room there are a few additional parking spaces, which is handy if you have suitcases.

Fantastic stay and can highly recommend. Lovely staff and when we checked into our room the air conditioning outside our room was noisy and when we asked if we could move. They were so helpful and moved to a lovely room. Food was fantastic in the restaurant. Amazing spa with pool, steam & jacuzzi.

I booked a standard room for a business trip and then had to book two more rooms for colleagues, and reception gave me an upgrade which was very welcome. I stayed in a suite that had a sitting room and it was very good. Everything felt fairly freshly decorated and it was very clean. My colleagues had standard rooms and said that they were nice. The breakfast was very good, freshly cooked with nice eggs and crispy hash browns. So much better than buffet stuff after it has sat under lights for too long. The staff really stood out. The friendly receptionist, the lady behind the bar who offered to carry my drinks because I bought three, and the member of housekeeping staff who was busy decorating a Christmas tree yet offered to carry my bags when I was leaving because I had a few. All of these interactions were offered and not requested and it left me with a very positive feeling about the hospitality being offered.
