Really nice, clean, comfortable, good breakfast and friendly staff. The room was great. The pool and jacuzzi were very clean. Great service all around. Would definitely recommend staying here to my family and friends. I will return to stay for another time.

We read most of the Trip Advisor reviews before we came here. This was literally an impromptu trip we created on Friday at 4 pm. We looked at Trip Adviser and this hotel got great reviews. We looked at the few negatives and before we booked the King room with the ADA accessible bathroom (it was the only king room left), I called the hotel front desk to ask questions. Steven picked up the phone and he answered everyting for me from customers who had noise complaints, to being on the first floor, to parking, etc. My wife and I finished the reservation, hopped in the car and we were at the hotel in 2 hours. Our room on the first floor was spacious, the king bed was comfortable and the ADA shower obviously had a lot of room. We appreciated the extra sink outside of the bathroom. The breakfast had eggs, meat, waffles and lots of other stuff so it was great for being included in the price. Our room was also quiet and it was restful staying here. The location of the hotel is right in Capitola. We brought our bikes and we were able to bike to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk in 20 minutes, to the Capitola wharf in 12 minutes, and we drove over to downtown Santa Cruz as that was further than we wanted to bike. The location and amenities are great at this hotel. Pool, hot tub, gym. Nice features. We would stay here again! Thank you Steven and staff for a memorable stay

I would stay here again. The hotel is in town (not near the water), the rooms were spacious, plenty of parking and breakfast in the morning is helpful to get something in the stomach before heading out for the day. They had homemade chocolate chip cookies at the front desk! All in all, it worked out well.

One star rating for several reasons; Advertising sound proofed rooms when they were ANYTHING but, Refusing to let us change our rooms away from the main entrance when there were plenty of empty rooms, and a general lack of professionalism, the older gentleman working the front desk clearly didn't want to be bothered. So bad luck on room location but refusing to help accommodate when it's literally your job is inexcusable... We didn't bother staying the night, knowing we weren't going to get any sleep. Will never go back, and shame on the elderly gentleman at the desk...

All the staff was great. The hotel is a little dated. Layers of paint covering damage and erosion. Location was a lot farther from the beach than they portray it. No curtains just shutters which didn’t block out the sun breakfast was plentiful but typical hotel quality. Beds were hard but also just typical hotel quality . Parking lot had a couple of sus activities going on and is in the back where I’m sure it isn’t monitored .

This hotel was clean and tidy with helpful and friendly staff. The decor was good, there was a small swimming pool and plenty of parking. There was also decent choice of food for the free breakfast but my wife and I found the limited hot food unappetising. What would I change? Well, the room itself was large and in good decoration but the bathroom could do with a facelift - the huge bath and shower was very dated and needs to be updated. The toilet paper was also so thin you tended to use a lot - better quality might actually cut costs. You have to request if you want your room cleaned daily and if you need clean and dry towels. The hotel also had homemade cookies available on the front desk- they were delicious and went very quickly!
