Royal Hotel Capertee

Yet again the best experience of our long weekend bike rides is arriving at the Royal after a cold day riding,the hospitality is as warm as the multiple coal fires throughout the pub and the only cold you will experience is in a freshly poured beer! We have stayed here on multiple occasions in the past and yet again Jordan the publican didn’t disappoint,he met us with his usual warm greeting before we even made it to the door and made us feel at home in this most beautiful part of Australia,the rooms are always immaculate and the electric blankets don’t go astray on winter nights,even after the pub (officially shut)on Sunday night Jordan stayed back for a few hours to chat with us and I think we could have solved all the problems in the world in his lounge room! Many thanks my friend,your hard work and friendly staff make it hard to leave,but we will be back,hopefully soon! Regards,Alex

We had a fantastic pub stay! Friendly staff, great lounge areas in front of multiple fireplaces. Awesome food with a great menu with lots of choice. The rooms & bathrooms were really clean. Outside play area for kids & a family friendly pool area inside. We would totally recommend a weekend getaway here.

Best country pub for miles! Accommodation was great and clean with outstanding staff and service. The food was delicious and the menu had variety and good prices. Friday nights are awesome with meat tray raffles and the Joker Poker draw. The pub has a real sense of community. We stayed for 3 nights and would highly recommend including this stop in your trip and staying at an iconic Aussie pub. We loved it !

Great pub lunch stop. Nice cosy rooms. Comfy chesterfield couch to relax in while the kids are playing pool. Nice beergarden, Great local drops of wine and beer on tap. Sadly the distillery cellar door wasn't open when we passed through. Ah well. We'll be back.

Top pub we stayed for two nights. Food was great. The rooms were clean and comfortable. If you are travelling between Lithgow and Mudgee you must stop and at least have a meal. Highly recommend this hotel. Beautiful coal fire places and a really warm atmosphere.

After camping for 2 days we headed into town to grab a meal at the local pub, our expectations were zero! Can quite easily say it served one of the best, simple but well executed pub meals we have had in years. Best ever garlic bread, great Aussie burger and chicken Parma. No nonsense just good cooking.
