Orange Beach Resort

I’d say that the place is strategically located. There’s easy access to the beach. We had had fun. However, the place was lacking in cleanliness. The blankets smelt a bit weird. Also the balcony was a bit dusty. The closet as well. Compliments to the lovely chef. He served us delicious food. On the other hand, as we were leaving we were a bit upset because we had almost been cheated. I had used trip to book a double room also using Yuan (Chinese currency). When we arrived the gentleman had convinced us that we were to get a single. Later he came around to tell us that if we wanted a double room we should pay 600 cedis extra. We refused to pay and later he said he’ll give us the room for “free”. So the confusion came in the next day when we were leaving. A gentleman chased after us saying we had not paid for the room. This was appalling given that I had already made the payments online and the gentleman had checked and confirmed when we had initially arrived. My friend had to come in and ask the gentleman why they’d do such a thing.

Sleeping on the sounds of ocean and waking up to a delicious breakfast. Tip: Try the French toast! Feels like coming home.

Cheap, charming and unique. Very friendly staff. Good atmosphere. A bit primitive, but it certainly has its charm and great location on the beach next to the castle. Very good for the price.

The location of the place is beautiful, right on the beach. However it didn’t meet the descriptions online. We had to work online during our stay and there was no wifi in the rooms. To have running water in the rooms the team had to manually turn on and off the water tank, which was a bit impractical. There was loud music and people talking until late into the night and also early in the morning. There was no bonfire at night, the sun beds are no longer there. There are a lot of people hanging around the place near the entrance and right in the beach side, so it honestly doesn’t feel very safe. The people who run the place are super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately it doesn’t make up for the overall feeling that the place is run down and not very well kept.
