The Old Vic Inn

Very basic accommodation, Alison greeted us if I could call it that ! We only stayed there to experience an old word hotel, what we found was a musty badly vacuumed room. Sorry we would not stay there again. My family were pioneers in Canowindra so that was one of the reasons for staying in that hotel.

Our two criteria before booking were clean and safe. This place is both.. Comfortable bed, good shower with hot water, and the old world charm is certainly there. Alison was very nice on the phone. All that said, the place is a little eccentric, which we like. However, when we pulled up to the front of the building, it looked closed. Alison assured us that the BnB portion was, in fact, open but only accessible through the back entrance. Continental breakfast was basic but did offer all the usual items. We were disappointed that the restaurant was not operating because that was something we looked forward to when we booked our stay. All in all, we feel that, considering the fact that accommodation options are slim in this part of the country, the $150 per night charge is about $25 too high. And so, now that we know what to expect, we would choose to stay here again. It is a heritage building, and you must have an open mind if you decide to spend the night. As I said, it was safe, clean, and comfortable with a distinct but basic old-world charm.

Graham gave me accommodation for two nights after a terrible experience in a motel in Cowra. Such a relief to come to this lovely and friendly inn. My room was so comfortable and warm- this is a great place to stay with wonderful hosts who really look after you.

What a find! A quality heritage inn - not a pub! -lovingly restored & updated. All rooms large, all with ensuites, rc aircon, great beds. Food was 1st class but not expensive. White cotton tablecloths !!! Hosts friendly & very accommodation. Would highly recommend!!! And Canowindra is such a fascinating town!

Lovely place to stay, in the middle of Canowindra town. Old world charm with a warm fireplace.. Comfy beds, with warm blankets. Lovely owners who make you so welcome. Definitely going back on my next trip to Canowindra. Opposite a great coffee shop..

Rude. Just rude. A phone call or a heads up before I organised an event would have been better business. Extremely poor communication and hypocrisy. Not the way to treat your locals. I will quite happily take my business elsewhere and would encourage others to do the same.
