We stayed several nights at Cam Pou for an event in Girona. The breathtaking views and beautifully maintained farmhouse made it a very comfortable stay. Breakfast was wonderful, with homemade bread and cakes. Even when our meal times were irregular, they kindly prepared breakfast or dinner for us in advance. The housekeeping was meticulous, and all the staff were warm and genuinely kind. The old town of Girona is amazing, but I highly recommend going a bit further out and using this place as a base to enjoy the Girona region.

The Emporda is a beautiful area of Catalunya and the Masia is in one of its stunning locations. Peace and tranquillity yet only 20 minutes from Girona. Eirene and Donatello are the most charming of hosts. Donatello is the chef and what a feast he creates for the evening meal. The beautiful old house, lovely rooms with stunning views and delightful gardens with swimming pool. It doesn’t get much better than this. Cant wait to return.

I wish the owners were more friendly. The place did not have a service from 1 pm to 4 pm and it was not possible to get any drinks or ice during this time. When we asked eggs for breakfast as the owner served hot sandwiches we were told that we have to pay for eggs as they plan to serve eggs the next day. The next day they were not served , only after we asked . However, croissants, yogurt and jams were fantastic . When we asked about the hiking routes we were told to read an email that was sent to us before arrival. The rooms however were comfortable and the property and the views great but we did not feel very welcome . Keep in mind that on Mondays they don’t have dinners, just cheese and cold cuts and it has to be preordered. Bring your own drinks if you get thirsty between 1 and 4 pm. Hopefully the owners can change their attitude to a more friendly one. As it is not so much the place but the people who make your stay special.

This is an exceptional property, beautifully restored from a sprawling 17th century Catalan farmhouse. The couple that run it are very engaging and helpful and the food, prepared by the husband, is simply outstanding. It is very much in the country and a great place to relax and disconnect, which was what we wanted from the experience. If you want a more urban experience, this is not the place for you, but we just loved it. It was stunning.

We stayed as a family in the apartment at Masia Can Pou this summer for five days. We were made to feel very welcome by the hosts who run a really lovely bed & breakfast. The breakfasts were super we soon decided that instead of cooking our own breakfast in our apartment we would join the other guests & indulge in the daily fresh breakfast provided by Donatello & Eirene. Everyday there were fresh croissants, food local to the area & baked cakes - delicious. The gardens were very nice to sit in & the pool was lovely for a cooling swim. We enjoyed visiting Girona & the coast & Eirene was very good at helping us know the best beaches to visit. A really super place to stay & highly recommended.

We had the most wonderful time at Masia Can Pou. The house is delightfully atmospheric and we spent many happy hours painting on the terrace, looking out at the beautiful view towards Girona. The breakfasts were exquisite. I enjoyed a massage from a local masseuse who came from Canet d’Abri. Our four year old son slept in one morning until 10:30am which is testament to the comfort of the bed and how dark it is in the bedroom when the window shutters are closed. Thoroughly recommend.

Relaxing setting in the beautiful countryside, amazing views, extremely comfortable beds, and top-notch service. The food is unbelievable with all home made baked goods and attention to my dietary restriction. We had dinner both nights we stayed and these meals were fresh from their garden with a superb combination of traditional and innovative. Rivaled meals in Michelin starred restaurants that I’ve had. Girona is not far but I quickly found myself wanting to get back to the tranquility of the Mas and the pool. Looking for a reason to return!
