Son Bauló

Have to correct a wrong from an earlier review. This hotel is in my opinion one of the best 3 star hotels in Spain. We as a family of 4 are used to always trying out different hotels 4 star/3 star throughout spain but we are always drawn back to the Son Baulo. Hotel basic but very clean and homely. Staff are a credit to their employers and you can tell they are very dedicated and professional in their duties of ensuring that the guests of the Son Baulo are having a lovely relaxing holiday. You wont get any better breakfast or dinner at most 4 star hotels and have to say this hotel comes out tops for quality and variety. David the entertainment manager is an absolute gent and has such a unique rapore with the adults and children who love him. Location of hotel is just spot on for us a nice 20 minute stroll along promenade to the livelier resort centre and hotel sits right on a lovely sandy beach with a sprinkling of cafe/bars with music within touching distance. Looking forward again to our visit in August. Unless you are ultra fussy and very difficult to please take previous reviews with a pinch of salt

We were recommended the hotel by a friend who had visited over 20 times as an ideal beach holiday break. We loved the location at the end of the resort overlooking the nature reserve. The room was large and very clean (but admittedly could do with modernising). Very comfy bed. Cleaned and spotless daily. Nice to have a fridge and a kettle (bring your own mugs and tea/coffee. Staff were exceptional throughout. We never saw anyone standing around or on a phone, their full attention is on service with a smile particularly in the dining room. Food was fabulous and a great selection. We used the pool every day. Plenty of sun longers and a lovely pool bar for food and drinks. The Club sandwich and fries was so good and easily shared by 2. The staff were again so friendly and lovely. Beach is right in front but the sunbeds and umbrellas are run by a private company. We just sat in hotel grounds and walked out to the sea. We walked into Can Picafort along the promenade for the Friday market. Took a bus into Alcudia for the old town and Sunday market and dos one day tour to Vallemossa and Soller which was fantastic. A very enjoyable stay where the staff are exceptional.

Lovely hotel. Rooms clean and food was great. Extremely helpful staff: I have a back problem and they arranged for a firm mattress and a walk-in shower to make it easier for me. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Fabulous time at son Baulo. Enjoyed an 11 day holiday. Staff always attentive and friendly. Check in went smoothly. Rooms on the 4th floor overlooking the pool and nature reserve, were very clean and housekeeping excellent. Beds comfortable. All communal areas were kept clean. Food was exceptionally good for a 3* hotel, I've known worse in 5* hotels. Plenty of choice and always hot. Entertainment good, David is an outstanding asset to the hotel. Bar snacks were reasonably priced. Short walk into can picafort along a safe promenade. Even got a continental breakfast at 5am before our return home. Can't thank everyone enough for a really enjoyable holiday. Will definitely return. Thanks to all at son Baulo hotel, you all do an amazing job.

A lovely hotel excellent staff, good food always replenishing when getting low and rooms are clean and comfortable. All areas of the hotel are well poked after and clean. You are the last drop off and it can take between 1 and 2 hours transfer depending on how many stops you make. We had room 108 above the kitchens so was a little noisy early morning and early evening when they were getting ready for service. But it doesn’t spoil your experience of the hotel. Daytime and evening entertainment is good, children’s disco , bingo and entertainment later on. All in all a very relaxing and enjoyable 2 weeks away. We came in May, September and are returning in May 2026.

A great 3 star Hotel better than many 4 star hotels I have stayed in. Located at the far end of C'an Picafort on a sandy beach opposite a nature reserve. All staff efficient and pleasant. David the entertainment member is fantastic with children and adults alike. Our room 204 overlooked the pool and nature reserve. Good size room, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. Cleaned whenever we requested. Food was excellent for a 3 star Hotel. Good variety of food. Pool was an okay size, no problem with sunloungers, always found 2 whatever time we went to the pool. Pool kept clean. Pool bar very handy friendly people running it and good prices. Entertaimment at night was the best, good acts and David the entertainment person for the hotel was just the best. Had a great holiday
