Hotel Porta do Sol Conference & Spa Reviews

We have stayed a few times at the Porta do sol. Great staff, great breakfast, fab spa and swimming pools. Really enjoyed our stays. We will be going again later in the year. Overall Fabulous.

Bom hotel!

The location is good. The service at reception is poor, slow, not very friendly. We stayed in the premium suite, room 120. For a couple they only put a bottle of water, we went to the reception to ask and the reception told us to ask for it in the restaurant, in the restaurant they didn't give us water for the room. In conclusion, we had to go to the bar and spend €4 on two small bottles of water. It's a pain to book a room for 240 euros a night and they don't even add water. The spa, we entered at 4:30 but at 5 pm we were asked to leave, just surreal!!!! Breakfast without much variety! The room was clean but there was not always hot water to take a shower. Conclusion, the first time I come to Portugal with my Chinese wife and the reception here in Caminha was like this. It was the first and last time at this hotel.

Nice room with pool view. Toiletries missing except for liquid soap. No cards to collect towels for the pool.

Good location Very good breakfast On the other hand, the spa was a big disappointment!! Cold water, lots of fan noise Swimming cap required and €5 per person

Very good hotel, with a magnificent pool. Relatively close to the city center, you can walk. What I don't understand is that you can't pay by card if you buy less than €5 at the hotel bar. You can't have a beer without metal. One of the people who worked there insisted a lot that you couldn't pay less than €5 with a card, it was also difficult for them to charge it to my room by showing my ID at reception, finally and as an exceptional favor, they charged it to me and I paid it in the checking out. It shouldn't be that difficult.😫

They do not offer the same features in Spanish as in Portuguese.
