Great place to stay, lovely staff member checked us in and helped us with a few things. They had staffing issues when we were there to do with the attached pub which ended up only being open for breakfast so our refund for dinner was quickly dealt with. Lovely big, nice and clean and no issues. Would recommend

The staff all very nice and helpful. The bed soooo comfortable. Everywhere was clean . Plenty of choice at breakfast. Overall very good and I’d definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

Room could be done with an update. Very disappointed about the lack of restaurant availability in the evening, only told the day before I traveled. Went to a sister hotel but not ideal as had to pay for taxi's so made trip more expensive than I hoped for. Had to move room on last day as a bee or wasp got in and they couldn't get it. Unfortunately fire alarm went off round 5.30am, it was very scary had my young niece with me so had to keep her calm. I think staff need a bit more training in how to deal with unexpected things like this.

It’s a good location for what we wanted, a full on city break, booked based on this and after a full on day would have liked to have food and drink but restaurant was closed due to staffing and had been for some weeks, not notified beforehand, phoned customer relations who were useless as I expect some reimbursement as what advertised was not available. Hotel Staff very helpful, this hotel is very tired and needs an upgrade, carpets grubby, curtains hanging off rail, net curtain was filthy - plus being bed was comfy - pull your socks up Premier Inn - wouldn’t stay here again and from my experience with “customer relations” very unlikely would stay with P. I. again

FIrst impression on arrival reception entrance looked drab and in desperate need of decorating this didn't change on going up stairs to rooms the first room we were given was the same very old tired and tatty. We were given another room better but still very old with carpets looking grubby and broken toilet seat.We felt we didn't want stay but we could not cancel next 2 nights.Given another room in annex which was better. The pub attached is not a pub (when the decide to open, not open during day) but where guests to for meals and you can get a drink no draught beers, this is grubby and depressing,we went 1st morning for breakfast didn't go again not good.Ate over road on there recommendation. The only positive was staff friendly and helpful. The quicker they renovate the better.

The hotel itself is alright, but it's very poorly insulated so you can hear every door and movement. This was particularly bad on the first night, as there was some sort of altercation and a woman wailing for 10 minutes at 4am. The breakfast was beyond atrocious. On top of the fact that it takes >40 minutes, it was often undercooked. On day 2, virtually everything was horrible. The sausages were barely browned, the mushrooms were basically raw, the hashbrowns were undercooked and the bacon was weirdly wet. On day 3, they ran out of eggs. I don't understand how that's even possible - you know how many guests you have, surely you can get 2 eggs per person per day. To add insult to injury, when I went to get a croissant I found out they're raw on the inside (see attached). For the love of god, get some proper cook in there or stop serving breakfast. Imagine paying £11 per person per night just to be served uncooked food.

As the attached restaurant only serves breakfast and dinner and is closed the rest of the time, which we did not know when booking, a vending machine would be an excellent investment by the operator.

Excellent location! We arrived by train and got a cab to the hotel. Welcome from the Front of House team was super friendly. We walked in to Town which was only 15-20 minutes, where there are lots of bars and a few restaurants. The next day we walked along the canal to the Falkirk Wheel (25-30 mins), then back past the hotel to the Kelpies. A pleasant flat walk (45 mins from the hotel). Admitted defeat at the Kelpies and caught a bus into town (£4.80 single!) The room was huge and super comfortable, powerful hot shower and ... a bath!! the luxury! especially after a long day walking. All the staff were friendly and welcoming and we'd stay again. Just a 30 minute train ride away, Falkirk is an affordable alternative to Edinburgh.
