"We stayed at the Caramelo for four nights in August and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. By complete coincidence, our stay fell around the solar eclipse, and we had absolutely no idea when we booked that Majorca was going to be such an incredible place to see it! From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. Sam on reception was fantastic – incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. He told us we had a gorgeous room with a wraparound balcony and gave us all the information we needed about the hotel and surrounding area. When we got to our room, we were so pleasantly surprised. It was spotlessly clean, really well equipped and the wraparound balcony was amazing, with beautiful views from two sides. Little did we know at the time just how lucky we were to have that particular room – it ended up giving us the perfect view of the solar eclipse right from our own balcony! It made an already special holiday even more memorable. The pool is genuinely one of the best hotel pools I’ve ever been in. The whole hotel has such a lovely, relaxed atmosphere, everywhere is kept beautifully clean, the food was great and every member of staff we encountered was friendly and welcoming. We also have to give a special mention to Joey on reception, who was absolutely fabulous. She was always there with a smile and couldn’t have been more helpful, particularly when helping us arrange taxis and anything else we needed. Although we dealt more personally with Sam and Joey, every single member of staff deserves a mention – from the bar staff to the restaurant team and everyone working behind the scenes. You really do have a fantastic team and they are a credit to the Caramelo. We enjoyed our stay so much that we actually rebooked to come back in October before we’d even left! We asked reception if there was any chance we could have the same room again, and amazingly they managed to arrange that for us too, which was the icing on the cake. Thank you to Sam, Joey and the entire Caramelo team for making our stay so special. We arrived as first-time guests and left already counting down the weeks until we return. See you all again in October! ❤️"

There's no front desk at all, and it took me about 30 minutes to get checked in. The hotel itself has 3 restaurants, mainly Mediterranean flavors, breakfast and dinner can be indoors or directly facing the sea view, the restaurant is connected to the infinity pool, the pink umbrella here is a visual unique point, suitable for staying in the hotel for more time to lie flat."

"The hotel was not ready to welcome guests. The infrastructure and gardens were still under construction and finishing works. Only one restaurant was opened. The staff in the reception desk was not as expected in a five star hotel. We have been in Mandarin oriental in many places and this one is definitely not the Mandarin level. The rooms were big enough and fancy furnished. The staff at the restaurant and the pool area is excellent."

The facilities are excellent, especially the swimming pool and sauna, and the hotel provided thoughtful arrangements for our honeymoon, which we greatly appreciated. The staff were friendly, professional, and attentive throughout our stay. My only suggestion would be to extend the opening hours of the sauna and gym, as this would give guests more time to enjoy the facilities. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would be happy to stay here again in the future."

"Recently renovated to a good standard, this hotel does a breakfast Red Rum couldn't clear ( cooked too!) There is food at the bar, and prices are OK. The staff were really great and the pool was good. The hotel sits between Magaluf and Palma Nova, so it aint quiet, and the area has a great selection of bars and eateries, though not much is Spanish. Those who don't like steep hills and dodgy pavements should keep away. For the money, it is great, and the clientele mostly English."

"Great hotel in a central location, comfy bed, good shower, room could do with an revamp but no complaints for what we paid, towels changed daily, bed not changed but we were there just 3 nights so it was fine. Outdoor pool is small and not heated so we didn’t use it. Spa looked lovely although we didn’t use. Breakfast good selection of hot & cold food but hot food was not very hot! Not good for gluten free as not much on offer. Overall a good stay and would return. A11 bus from airport stops right outside which was perfect."

"Beautiful hotel well located next to a beautiful large beach. Pleasant welcome, smiling staff. Very friendly catering service staff. Too bad the jacuzzi wasn't running. Nice varied buffet, however I think it's not normal that you have to pay for water when you pay half board! We were in other hotels in Majorca where water, sodas and wine were self-service. Right next to the swimming pool, the fact that many people reserve their deckchairs from 7 a.m. by placing towels without being present, therefore, no more possibility of sitting around the swimming pool after our breakfast, the management of the 'hotel should ban it!"
