Callicoon Hills

Rooms are exactly as pictured: no bathroom shelf space; soap/shampoo bottles stuck to walls; no washclothes , no phone, no ice, no drink machine, small rooms. Very Spartan living.

A nice upstate getaway with large rooms, comfy beds and a delicious on-site restaurant. Livingston Manor is 15 minutes away and a nice place to visit. May be back when its warmer to use the pool!

An otherwise cozy stay The front desk staff were very kind & accommodating. Alana was always very cheerful and helpful. I was able to check in earlier into the creekside cabin. It was very cute & cozy, and bigger than I expected. The property is very nice. The kids had fun making s'mores in the main hotel, which they do every evening. In the morning, I was offered an Americana in the lobby which was nice... & Delicious. Anytime we called front desk, they always answered & assisted us very politely. The only issue I had with this place was finding nice turds in the sofa under the cushions. However, they immediately sent housekeeping to clean it up and they cleaned the whole place up for us & took out our trash while they were at it. I liked that they pretty much had everything you need in the kitchen. Overall, it was a nice stay & we'll definitely be staying there again.

Beautiful stay and New Years celebration!

We took a last-minute trip to Callicoon Hills and couldn’t have been happier! First, the staff was super communicative even before we arrived. They chatted with us via text which was great. We ended up getting on the road much later than anticipated and while the restaurant would be closed by the time we arrived, they offered to have food waiting for us! Instead, we chatted and they offered a bunch of close-by suggestions for food and the recommendation was spot-on! Shout out to the Old Foundation for the most delicious chicken sandwich (so huge it was fit for two!). The common areas at the hotel are great…chill enough to get work done but with enough people around to make it feel lively. Breakfast was quick and tasty and dinner in the restaurant was delicious. Service again, top notch and super friendly. Can’t say enough about the helpful and accommodating staff - from restaurant suggestions, to later check-out to tips on local hiking and other highlights. If you’re looking for a lovely getaway, head to Callicoon Hills! We’ll definitely be back, mostly because I want to take advantage of the nightly s’mores next time!
