The home is a wonderful place for large-gatherings for summer vacations, in the fall for the beautiful leaves and the holidays. It can accommodate a few families, a large family, a large group of friends and has been rented for graduations, work retreats, marriages, proposals and many different celebrations. Smith Mountain Lake, nicknamed the "Jewel of the Blue Ridge", for its topaz water and emerald shores, has more than 580 miles of shoreline.
