A lovely hotel, friendly staff and a nice location. Service is excellent, rooms are very good and any problem is solved asap. First time adults only, loved the concept. Definitely will return at this specific hotel or try other hotels from the Barcelo venture.

The bedroom was rather small. Lounge very minimalistic and not very comfortable. Disappointed that the Royal Level only had one restaurant that was a buffet. The selection, quality and temperature of the food provide was inferior to that provided in the Mafasca restaurant. The only a la carte choices were Italian, which was all Pizzas and Pasta, no Gluten free was available so my wife had no choices available, or Palo Santo which is Mexican and not to our taste. Thus it was a buffet or nothing. Not a Royal Level selection.

This is our 2nd time here at this lovely hotel...all is good..but why oh why do we have to wrap up to eat in the restaurant..the air conditioning is not necessary in november..

Staff worked hard at keeping the rooms clean and maintaining the gardens. However, since booking our stay, the hotel is offering All Inclusive. This for us spoiled the ambiance as the majority on all inclusive were taking up to 5/6 towels each and putting them on sun lounges dotted around the pool, to take full advantage of the sun as it moved around. This regularly left no free lounges for other guests, unless you were prepared to get up before 7.30 am. The food generally was to a good standard, but there was limited choice for the main course at the evening meal and the food wasn’t always warm enough. The hotel also had problems with water pressure, hot water and electricity. One day we had no electricity or water at all, but only all inclusive guests were told where they could go to eat and were given sandwiches. This was our first experience of a hotel offering all inclusive and it will be our last because other guests were not courteous, after drinking none stop all day. Because of this too the pool area wasn’t that clean.

A great experience mixing a Barcelo Martini with Kris the bartender. A fun time sampling the ingredients and trying to work out what they were before learning how to make this signature cocktail and a chance to sample what we made - but who made the best one?
