Caybeach Caleta

Only good thing about this place is the location, close to the beach and restaurants and shops. We booked to have 8 nights here, we survived 3 and ended up booking to stay somewhere else for our own health. The place was infested in ants, on the sofa, bed, floor, kitchen tops and bathroom. We complained about them and we were told the cleaners would come which they did, but they told us to spray them with this aerosol which we couldn't that much as i have asthma and it effected it majorly, we tried to negotiate a refund as we spent nearly £700 to stay here but they refused without a thought. We wasted so much food we bought to save money from eating out due to these little ants, you can't even keep food there or leave a drink on the side while you watch TV because it ends up with ants all over it. They don't even provide cleaning products to help keep the areas clean, but yet expect us to keep the ants away.... I used to stay here as a kid and have nothing but happy memories here, but our stay them 3 nights have changed my mind completely and I will not be returning.

I have been here the last 3 years in a row the 1st time just me and my husband , last year me and a group of female friends and this year with my family. Excellent hotel great location 5 min walk into the main area and the beach. Pool area nice pool bar served nice food and snacks drinks good happy hour twice a day! Always went self catering. They are little bungalows which are very spacious the Air con excellent in the one bed apartment as it is in the bedroom but it is rubbish in the two bedroom apartment as it is in the living room so you can barley feel it so was a struggle to sleep this year I will stick with the one bed apartments the next time. Love having terrace area with sun loungers outside our rooms. For the price for this hotel it’s ideal will definitely be back again. Staff all lovely and €20 euro for late checkout well worth it meant our last day was very relaxing before our night time flight home :) love caleta de fuste short transfer from the airport lots of day time entertainment and evening around the area.

The good things first ...bungalows are quite nice we were on the other side of road to reception one back from road so quiet and secluded cleaned 5 days a week by the lovely maids ....the bad things are a long list receptionists quite rude were only polite when jet 2 reps were there restaurant terrible undercooked food pool bar ran out of chips for 2 days ....sunbeds ridiculous no were near enough got shouted at by workman for using side gate not sure why others were using it I could go on ....Needless to say won't be back to caybeach but loved restaurants and bars in caleta

Our first time to fuerteventura and we had a wonderful time. The love everyone has for then island is special and should be done more for all parts of the world. Anyway honest review/info for anyone else wanting to travel to the lovely island below. Prior to booking with this hotel we looked at others and genuinely really pleased that we chose CAYBEACH CALETA. Charming complex, always clean and tidy and well kept. August 2024 11nights family of 5. Mother has mobility issues and myself and children have additional needs.⭐️ Location wise this hotel was spot on. Prior to arriving I had contacted the airline/hotel separately requesting that our villas be as close to eachother as poss and not too far from pool due to anxiety and my mother needing help with her mobility along side asking for aids to help her in the room. Unfortunately there reassuring email didn't match up, which was a little stressful especially as they had other vacant villas which they wouldnt accomodate us in and made it awkward for us asking for the aids again. We ended up renting a mobility scooter/wheelchair to use for many days and the company were fantastic to be fair they came and dropped off/collected no problem. Small deposit returned. Villa/complex Reception staff we encounter 2 women on reception, one really friendly and helpful the other was stand offish and clearly didn't want to be there. But all in all had 0 problems. The rooms themselves were basic but bright, spacious and clean. We were under the impression that the cleaners only came 2ce a week however were pleasantly suprised that they came more often to make beds, cleans towels, loo roll stocked up. Some cleaners made more effort than others bit was overall happy. The clean sheets smelt so nice instead of having the normal chemical smell. X2 sunbeds on terrace and a clothes dryer included in the room. We had a double bed which was actually 2 beds next too eachother I found this fine but my partner hated how the beds would move alot and away from eachother Kids had a sofa/pull out bed and didn't complain other than us only having 1 thin pillow each. They have tv/air-conditioning and its 6Euros per remote for a deposit, and you get this back on checkout. The aircon is only in the b3droom so have to leave the bedroom door open for it to air through villa. The fridge/freezer need replacing wasn't really fit for purpose at all as most of it was broken inside. We made do. The pool was maintained however, sunbed gate was both hilarious and highly frustrating. Having to que at 9am for them not to be relased till 10am and then fighting over who had how many sun beds was a really dampener on the holiday. We luckily managed to follow suit get up and get a few each time we wanted a pool day. Had some fun conversations with others while waiting and also a elbow flying here and there joke! The younger lifeguard was there majority of our stay and was fairly chilled and we didn't encounter a

This is our 4th stay at Caybeach. Each time we return it is getting worse. Check in take too long one receptionist is helpfull the other is not. They tell you information so quick that you don’t understand most of it. When you arrive at night it is too dark to find the room numbers and there is no signs to help you find your room. Bungalow has its own terrace with 2 sun beds a table and 2 chairs. Inside the bungalow is very basic. When using the shower this is dangerous as the floor is very slippy inside and there is no grab rails, the shower is very poor it is not powerful enough. The towels are thin and old. Bedrooms plenty space in the wardrobe beds not comfortable and very low. Cleaners come 5days out of the week they do the basic clean but they are very friendly. We paid for breakfast this isn’t as good as it used to be. Bread and buns are hard, not much choice in praistries, food is just warm, most of the time the sausages aren’t cooked properly. Need to heat food up in the microwave. Snacks at the bar they ran out of pizza and chips most days. People serving at the bar not helpful and always o their mobiles. Outside areas are dirty, rubbish bin’s overflowed paths not swept. Cockroaches and ants everywhere, when you go to reception to ask for anything they are not willing to help or the manager isn’t in today. We used to live Caybeach but unfortunately we will not return again.

First time staying at the Caybeach Caleta although we have stayed in the Caybeach Meloneras in Gran Canaria and Playa Blanca in Lanzarote. Lovely hotel with great self catering bungalows which contain everything you need. Clean and modern with good air con and lovely patio with sun loungers and a table and chairs, it got the sun most of the day too. Staff very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much bother. Rooms cleaned on a daily basis with fresh towels. Location is perfect with just a 5 minute stroll to the shops, restaurants and beach. Pool opens at 10am with sunbeds locked until then, plenty of room and beds to choose from though so didn’t feel crowded. Had a lovely week with friends and will be back in May 2025 😊

I've stayed at caybeach 4 times this year and everytime me and my daughter have loved it. The bungalows are standard and what you would expect for 3* the beds are very comfy, the cleaners come everyday and change the towels and make the beds. The staff are very friendly and go above and beyond to help. Mario on the pool bar is very funny and will do everything he can to assist you. Will the entertainer is great, other reviews say he gets drunk while in charge of the kids, this is absolute rubbish and i wonder if this is down to jealousy and them that dont know how to have a laugh. I have never seen that. The children ask him to throw them in the pool, 1 of them been my daughter! He takes time to speak to every new customer and will do anything he can to help! The complex is in a great spot, the beach 5mins away. Mr.B's is a great place for entertainment and Lins for food! I would not listen to any bad reviews because I have been going to fuerteventura for 5years and stayed In different hotels, if it was so bad why do my daughter and me choose to stay here everything now, we go back in October and I cannot wait! We'll done to all the staff at Caybeach, can't wait to see you all again very soon! Just 1 bit of advice....get more sunbeds please or have a rule on them that if they are left for more than half an hr, they can be used, people put towels on them and go off for the day....that's not fair on other people....

Never done this before but felt it was worth it as there are mixed reviews. All in all I found Caybeach to be a great place to stay. I found the grounds to be clean, with plenty of bins to help keep litter to a minimum. Yes there is a scramble for the sun loungers but on the occasions we decided to spent the whole day at the pool, we were able to get what we needed. The pool was clear when we were there so no issues there. The lifeguard was not the most attentive but I didn't expect one anyway so kept an eye on my kids while they were swimming. The rooms are basic but fine. Good shower, good flushing toilet, and good fridge, plenty of wardrobe space, safe (small charge) if needed. Air con in the bedroom was wonderful and free (6 euro deposit) We did end up moving the sofa bed mattress to the floor of the bedroom in order to keep everyone cool - but that was our decision and the maids accomodated this by making up the bed on the floor!! We had near daily maid service and fresh towels at least 3 times in the 8 nights we were there. Each apartment has a small patio with good design and planting so I never felt overlooked. There were lots of groups of families - ours included and we were located next door which was great. It is very close to the airport (from the large Caleta De Fuste sign as you enter/exit the town you can see the runway!) so there are planes going overhead throughout the day, but you get used to it. Its also very close to the beach and restaurants (5min walk) I can't comment on the 'animation', bar, food etc as we didn't use these facilities. The cons to this place would be the mini golf. Don't bother, theres a commercial one in the town which looked really good, sadly we ran out of time to try it out. It's a shame the hotel one is in such bad condition as I would've thought this would be an asset to this family orientated hotel. Yes, there were a few bugs on our arrival day - so we bought bug spray and that was the end of that! Check in did take some time, but nothing to complain about. I would happily book again, were I to return to Fuerteventura
