Caybeach Caleta

Only good thing about this place is the location, close to the beach and restaurants and shops. We booked to have 8 nights here, we survived 3 and ended up booking to stay somewhere else for our own health. The place was infested in ants, on the sofa, bed, floor, kitchen tops and bathroom. We complained about them and we were told the cleaners would come which they did, but they told us to spray them with this aerosol which we couldn't that much as i have asthma and it effected it majorly, we tried to negotiate a refund as we spent nearly £700 to stay here but they refused without a thought. We wasted so much food we bought to save money from eating out due to these little ants, you can't even keep food there or leave a drink on the side while you watch TV because it ends up with ants all over it. They don't even provide cleaning products to help keep the areas clean, but yet expect us to keep the ants away.... I used to stay here as a kid and have nothing but happy memories here, but our stay them 3 nights have changed my mind completely and I will not be returning.

Absolutely disgraceful welcome. Waiting for ages, which actually doesn’t bother us, but to see families with small children waiting is absurd. They’ve been travelling all day… a welcome water would be more than welcome. We arrived too late to get to the shops…no water offered. We’ve had to drink the tap water. We have paid for air conditioning- it does not work! When I went to reception the poor girl had absolutely no hospitality skills. Just panicked. My dad has had a knee operation, he’s not great, he needs cool air. We paid for AC… does it work? NO! So far, this place is an embarrassment! They need to get a grip! So far, the worst welcome I’ve ever encountered at a new place. Let’s see what tomorrow brings….

I thought I’d write a review after reading a few negative comments. Just returned from a great holiday at Caybeach. We arrived about 12pm and our apartment wasn’t going to be ready until 3pm this wasn’t an issue as we went straight out to get some lunch then came back grabbed our swimming stuff from our cases in the storage room and went straight to the pool which we stayed until 6pm. The pool bar and bar food is very good and very reasonably priced too. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment not far from the main pool ( I had emailed prior to our trip requesting this) the apartments are very clean with very comfortable beds and big walk in showers and a small kitchen. We only used the fridge to store drinks but all very clean. I was worried before arrived after reading about burglaries but everything was fine the doors are tricky to lock which I’m guessing people weren’t locking properly. Everyone I spoke to whilst there said the same and was really positive. We paid for bed and breakfast but it wasn’t the best we only used it a couple of times- I did however go there and put pastries in a container for my children to have later in the day. The staff and entertainment lady work tirelessly every day. The hotel and the grounds are very clean. The roof of the main building is in need of repair but that doesn’t effect your stay. I did get up and reserve a parasol most mornings then subbed from 10 but never had any issues. The beach is really lovely we spent 2 days there. 2 subbed and a parasol was 10.50 Euros. The location is great close to beach shops and some great restaurants. We ate at a few but our favourites were Macs, Lins, S75 and the restaurant on the corner by the hotel Kobe steakhouse. All very reasonably priced. We went to the market over the road on the Saturday - you need to barter with them to get a good deal. We would definitely go back but we’d try and get a 2 bedroom apartment if we take the teenagers back again. Overall great holiday.

We arrived 12/07/2025 for 2 weeks holiday. We had a fantastic holiday our apartment 202 was exactly what we expected large rooms spotlessly cleaned by EMILY she was so friendly always smiling clean Towels and bedding when needed nothing to much always happy to help. Close to all Amenities shops restaurants and beach 🏖️

We have been coming to Caybeach and Caleta for 10 years and whilst we understand that you get what you pay for and it has always been relatively cheap to get here and stay, this time around notably was different. Unfortunately the reception, pool bar and rooms felt and looked pretty tired and worn out.. in need of some real TLC.! There are efforts being made to improve the complex, however, it just doesn’t seem like it’s a big priority to do so.. the fridge was full of rust and the bathrooms needed a good clean and re-grouting. The biggest thing for me though was the missing roof in the Main complex ( not in to reception ) has come away and you can see this from the main road so does not look appealing at all. The cleaning staff were always happy and helpful but when you’re given stained quilts and pillows it’s not a very nice experience.! The resort itself seemed in need of a little love aswell, the area leading to the marina where the decking is was all broken and was in need of some serious repair and the walk down to the beach from our hotel just needed new paving and actually just a good sweep up.! Whilst we have some fantastic memories of coming here over the years with our children growing up, I won’t be rushing back to stay again any time soon. This isn’t to say that you will come and not enjoy your holiday because there are some lovely things to do aswell but as time goes by you get to notice things that haven’t been improved upon over the years. These are only my views of a returning guest over a long period of time and perhaps I’m looking to see where improvements may have happened having noticed them previously..
