Caybeach Caleta

Only good thing about this place is the location, close to the beach and restaurants and shops. We booked to have 8 nights here, we survived 3 and ended up booking to stay somewhere else for our own health. The place was infested in ants, on the sofa, bed, floor, kitchen tops and bathroom. We complained about them and we were told the cleaners would come which they did, but they told us to spray them with this aerosol which we couldn't that much as i have asthma and it effected it majorly, we tried to negotiate a refund as we spent nearly £700 to stay here but they refused without a thought. We wasted so much food we bought to save money from eating out due to these little ants, you can't even keep food there or leave a drink on the side while you watch TV because it ends up with ants all over it. They don't even provide cleaning products to help keep the areas clean, but yet expect us to keep the ants away.... I used to stay here as a kid and have nothing but happy memories here, but our stay them 3 nights have changed my mind completely and I will not be returning.

We have been to this complex a few times now, but on this visit it wasnt so good. Not enough beds around the pool, we never got any until late afternoon. 2 of the metal steps into the pool were out of order. In our apartment .. The air contioning stopped working it taken them 4 days to replace it. The cleaners didnt do such a good job, there was always something missing like towels etc. floors and shower sometimes not cleaned. There didnt seem as many cleaners as there used to be. We was told that the complex had been sold to a different company and a new director who clearly isnt spending any money on the complex. Lots of people who regulary stay there were complaining and said they will not return there. we have all said it has gone downhill.

Friendly staff apartment was clean ample cooking facilities. Great location short walk to the beach and places to eat. The air conditioning is only in the bedroom so very uncomfortable for those sleeping in the living room. Satellite TV but no English channels. Nice seating sun loungers outside the apartments on patio. The biggest downside is the lack of sun beds tables & parasols for the amount of guests around the pool. You could fit at least another 30/40 around the pool. The same old line up to grab a bed at 10am then disappearing for hours. We witnessed 4 beds reserved and no show the 4 hours we was there sitting at a table. When I pointed this out with proof of pictures/ time reception said they couldn't do anything. Well yes you can other hotels do, a sign clearly stating that towels will be removed after a certain amount of time ie 2 hours ( which I think is generous) will be removed and placed in a safe place which the hotel as no liability for. Personally after 5 hrs I was tempted to throw them in the pool so people like us sitting at the tables had somewhere comfortable to sit. My husband wouldn't let me 🤨 This was a big issue for us especially with 3 kids who wanted to play in the pool after a day out. When we was fortunate to get a sun bed we only ever had 2 as we knew the kids would be in the water Come on sort this out and more people may return. Great room provided which you can book for late check out if you can't keep your room. Snacks drinks around the pool reasonably priced.

First time staying here, and would not stay again. 1 Bedroom apartment. Check in was quick and easy, but we then struggled to find the apartment due to a lack of lighting (didn't arrive until 9:30pm). First problem was the bed/sofa. The roll under bed had missing slates resulting in large holes the mattress would get pushed into. Second problem was in the morning. The kitchen area was infested with little bugs, that managed to get into our cereal and bread, all over the plates etc. Third problem was the safe. Paid 1.80 euro per day. The instructions were given, but the safe kept saying blocked. There was also no handle to open the safe if it had worked. Ended up using a knife to pull the door open. Forth problem was that 2 of the legs for the bed fell off. On closer inspection, this had clearly been a long running issue because there was welding splatter all over the place. If it had been welded properly in the first place would have prevented this. Reported all these issues to reception, and they would send someone over, but couldn't give a time, and we needed to be in the apartment ready for them. Obviously we are not going to spend a day in the apartment waiting for someone to come. So no resolution to these issues. Ended up using a sun lounger for a bed. Pool was lovely apart from the lack of sun loungers, and tatty parasols. Maid and reception service was great. This was our sixth visit to Caleta De Fuste, and it's the only place we would not return too.

We’ve been coming to caleta for over 20 years! This will be our last! It’s gone massively down hill. Very dirty, & rude…….

Decent hotel but room for improvements in places. We stayed as a family of four on a self catering basis in an apartment next to the pool area. Pool area was clean in my opinion and the out door area surrounding the pool. Same for the walk ways in between the apartments. Are apartment was a little dated but again was clean. Some family members who stayed at the same hotel had an apartment that seemed to have been updated so maybe the hotel are in the process doing so. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel but I believe it was around €8. We either eat in the apartment or went to Lins restaurant which is a five min walk. Breakfast and other parts of the menu are decent and at a decent price €3.99. So that was our choice. Bar snack at the hotel pool bar were decent. Pizza very nice and burgers also. One thing to watch if you go outside of any happy hour the beers can be expensive. So look when they are doing happy hour. Now , we did visit during school holidays but sunbeds, yes people are queuing for them every morning around 9:30 for the beds to be released at 10am. One thing I surprised to see was people putting their towels around parasols to reserve these also. You have beds by your apartment but they do not allow them by the pool so if you miss sunbeds which many do then you won’t have one. For me it wouldn’t matter too much but when you have kids by the pool all day then you don’t have much choice to try and get one. All in all not a bad place have heard from people who visited previous years that the hotel has changed management and that the attention to detail has started to drop off but I cannot confirm this. If you can get a deal on this hotel then I would stay again but only if I could get an exceptional deal.
