Insotel Cala Mandia Resort

We really liked this hotel. We had a swim up room which was brilliant - the pool was a good size, not too busy, and temperature just right. Our daughter was ill while we were there and the hotel were very thoughtful in checking in on us and offering any assistance we needed. The Tui reps were also very sweet and delivered my daughter a certificate and get well soon postcard which she loved! The food was excellent, although the dining areas were very busy. We were limited in our options for eating due to her illness and also being autistic. More full meal options outside of the main restaurant would have helped us hugely, but we did make the most of the outside Surf restaurant and when we needed to take food out of the buffet staff were very accommodating. Our room was cleaned daily and to a high standard. Some of the communal walkways were not as clean as we would have liked, but this was very minor. The facilities for children are excellent at this hotel. There are many swim options, and the numerous splash pools were a huge hit with us. We only made it to the beach briefly, but it was stunning. We briefly tried the kids club which was very good. All in all, we would highly recommend this hotel, especially if you need lots of onsite entertainment options.

Four nights mini break for my wife and I to celebrate our wedding anniversary and a birthday. She wanted to relax poolside in the sun and enjoy the odd Pina Colada and I wanted to read a book in peace in the shade. The adult pool area was perfect for us and we spent the majority of the time there. Everything else felt like a bonus. There were queues for the restaurant at dinner time but we were in no rush and found that it settled down after the first 45 minutes or so. There was always somewhere to sit and plenty of food choices for our diverse taste. We found that the booking web/app for the alternative dining areas was always say no availability at any time of day we looked so we approached the Guest Relations desk in reception and the gentleman there was excellent. In no time at all he had sorted out a table for two at the Fifties Style diner as we requested. The diner was also well organised. Caterina in particular stood out as very customer focused and she organised a chorus of Happy Birthday which was lovely. The entertainment staff were also very attentive and approachable. Our room was perfect for our needs too and felt spacious. Evening entertainment was fun. We watched a quality trio of young dancing singers who gave a good overview of Bruno Mars career with some old disco classics thrown in for good measure. They got people dancing and singing. Outside the hotel a short walk was a rocky coastal path with some great views and access to a small bay beach . Would definitely consider coming back and recommend to others.

If you have kids and are looking for a holiday this is the best place to go. All the staff are exceptional especially David at guest relations who helped us massively throughout our stay. There is so much choice at the meal times and snack times and it was all very tasty. We will definitely be booking again.
