Avoid me, all Asians/Asians, avoid me, this hotel is the worst I have ever stayed in!! The service attitude is extremely unprofessional, and there are even soft racist behaviors!! First of all, this hotel mixed up my reservation with other people during check-in verification, resulting in someone swiping a card to enter our room in the middle of the night!! I called the front desk and got the reply "come to the room right away", but I waited for half an hour and didn't see anyone, and asked me to go downstairs to find it myself. The front desk staff only said that the room was mixed up but did not compensate or apologize!! The most outrageous thing is that he cancelled my room card as soon as I went downstairs, and I couldn't open the door when I returned to the room 🙂 The next day, he softly forced us to change rooms, meaning that if we didn't change, we would have no place to stay and could only ask us to leave (but there were few people staying in the off-season), and no compensation measures were mentioned. Moreover, according to the information of the two front desk employees, the room we changed was not the room we booked at the beginning!! The front desk staff did not explain or even apologize!! It's even more outrageous!! The front desk changed rooms after we changed them!! 3 o'clock in the morning! Called the room to wake up!! It was definitely the right call because it rang for half a minute, but we didn't order any room service!!! It's hard not to suspect that Racist was causing trouble for us!! Still no explanation or apology!! In addition, the room we moved to was super shabby, the lights were broken, the bathroom toilet was full of rust, there were urine stains on the towels, and the bottom of the bathtub was full of black dirt!! The hotel's room cleaning service was also in name only, because the towels with urine stains were not changed at all, they just folded the things and pretended to clean up 🙂 The poor sound insulation mentioned in other reviews is also true. You can hear the voices of the opposite room through two doors and a corridor, and you will be woken up by the sound of traffic outside in the early morning. The walls are almost paper-pasted😇 In short, this hotel is the biggest failure of my trip to Cairns. I don't understand how this kind of mid-to-high-end chain resort hotel can have such poor quality control. I used to trust the Rydges brand and have never seen it destroy its own brand so much. My family and I were completely exhausted in this hotel. We couldn't even get the most basic rest. We didn't have the energy to enjoy the scenery during the few days of the trip! !
