Pleased to stay in YHA as planning for hike Snowdon early in the morning. It is also accessible with public transport hourly. Rooms are clean & well served with youths. Have water fill area, drying area, catering area(can cook/reheat meals self), free wifi, bar & rest area. The staffs are also good & friendly. Very much recommend to stay YHA if wanna hike for Snowdon from Miner/PYG track early in the morning.

This hotel was good and price is quite reasonable. And the most important thing is that the area of this city was really beautiful. Hill sights view was really really good.

Very impressed with quality of accommodation, standard of cleaning, menu and super helpful staff who went out of their way to help.Whole mix of people staying here but everyone seemed happy. Food was tasty and came quickly. Beds narrow but comfortable. Shower pressure not great but water hot.

YHA Pen-y-Pass was our GCSE Geography field studies base providing a springboard for our trips out to the surrounding area - Llanberis, Ogwen, Beddgelert and Nant Gwynedd. It is good accommodation for our students. From the warm welcome, the good standard rooms and good food to the ever helpful staff, the students and school staff were well catered for across the 4 days of our stay. Thank you and hope to see you again next year.

Nice clean youth hostel - basic but comfortable and clean. Used the self-catering facilities (more tea towels needed or bring your own). Stayed overnight for an early start to climbing Snowdon the next day. Nice family room with good en-suite facilities. Will definitely come back.

It's a former Inn converted to a hostel. No parking, you need to park at Nant peris and get the park and ride up and back. Self catering kitchen or you can book breakfast and a dinner. We had a private en suite room. Staff are all friendly. Everything was clean.

The location is unbeatable, and all was as good as you can expect from YHA. Considering the lack of phone reception, the poor quality of the WiFi is a pain and something that could be easily solved. Re food, the cafe across the road offers better options durday time (really nice and better priced pasties, rolls and sandwiches). No parking, and this is something that could be better explained before arrival.
