We’ve stayed a several resorts in Cabo, and this one is the best! The beach is unswimmable due to the undertow, but the water is beautiful and the waves are huge. The resort is immaculate, not a piece of trash anywhere. The rooms are spacious and comfy, and the staff is great. The drinks are pricey if you don’t do inclusive, but they are much better than what you’d normally find at inclusive hotels. Location is far enough away from things that it is quiet and peaceful, but close enough to walk to the harbor or downtown if you want.

They are converting this place to a time share situation. But it’s way overpriced. Food is lousy. Staff doesn’t know what they are doing. Decor is drab and underwhelming. Virtually no cellular service. I did speed tests at 4 different spots in the resort that came back at 6mbps per second!

We return to Grnad Solmar every year we usually go in May but have been there almost every other month of the year. We love Grand Solmar and will continue to return every year. This place is so clean and beautiful the views from every room are amazing. The staff is incredible. The food is great. The location is on of the best in Cabo. I can’t say enough about this place! Special shout out to Manny for always making us feel like GS is our home!

My experience at this resort was amazing! Dorian gave excellent service at the pool. We were able to relax and have great family time and Dorian made sure we were taken care of. He was so kind and polite! He really got to know us! Also Felipe at the sports bar was such a great guy who really took the time to know our family and give the best service possible. He made our nights at the sports bar fun! Actually all the guys at the sports bar were awesome. All the people at all the places you go in this resort they’re all so kind and provide excellent service. We loved our experience!

I’ve been an owner at Grand Solmar Lands End for 12 years, and it’s still a beautiful place. The housekeeping staff and all the ancillary staff are amazing — hardworking, kind, and the heart of the resort. This trip, I noticed a change that really concerned me: the bell staff now wear long-sleeve shirts and long pants year-round. They look nice, but in Cabo’s summer heat (90°F with 85% humidity), they are NOT practical. I saw several staff members sweating heavily and looking uncomfortable. As a nurse, I know the risk of heat exhaustion and heatstroke is real. In the past, they wore khaki shorts and polos that kept them cooler. I hope management considers lightweight, breathable, moisture-wicking uniforms for hot months. I also missed the resort’s beautiful “Grand Solmar” green tea scent, which used to fill the air and create that “I’m home” feeling. Small touches like that matter to returning guests. I share this with love and respect for the people who work so hard to make our stays wonderful — and hope management will make changes that keep them safe and comfortable.

Our time there was very good. Omar at the Front Desk handled our check-in and reservations and did an awesome job. We’ve been coming here since 2011 and have always been satisfied. The only issue this time was finding pool chairs — they were mostly taken and it was hard to find two empty ones. Still, overall, a great stay as always!
