Seems a bit understaffed, especially in the restaurants. Beach access signage needs to be updated as well as the staff need to be informed when one or more of the gates/access are closed. In general, the resort is lovely and we enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

I came from the Gold Coast with a friend and passed by Byron Bay. We chose this hotel. The front desk service was very nice and considerate. The hotel was also very comfortable. Each person had a small villa, which was nice!

Excellent Resort - spent alot of time trying to find the perfect place to stay and this was definitely "the place". Very unique, a wonderful resort. Honestly wished we could have stayed longer and had enough time just to stay at the resort. The rooms were very spacious, bright with wonderful windows and lovely views, rooms had high-tech amenities, the beds totally comfortable. The rooms were super clean (like you didn't mind spending time in your room clean!) The bathrooms large, clean with luxurious towels and amenities. Loved how private each space was. The resort restaurant, reception, golf cart and beach service top knotch! Can't rave enough about how friendly and helpful every single person on staff was - these people actually seemed to enjoy thier jobs. (Something not rarely found). The food honestly wasn't Michelin star - but was tasty and good. Enjoyed the walking trails, the beach and the location of the resort. Will definitely return.

Overall we had a great time and would return. Positives: the main restaurant (menu was very nice), the resort grounds (lovely to walk around and explore), the pools, location, and parts of the room. Areas for improvement: - the tiles around the main pool are extremely slippery. With children and elderly people walking and running here this is a disaster waiting to happen. We saw many people slip and fall (luckily no one was hurt). I would suggest adding rubber walking strips similar to those at the adult pool to prevent slipping. - attitude of staff: while overall the staff were lovely I did have several interactions where staff were unnecessary inflexible on certain issues. Again, if a hotel is operating in this price point, the staff need to be better equipped at being flexible and accommodating guest requests, rather than just blindly reciting policies and saying ‘no’ like staff a regular hotel. The staff at your competitors at Halycon House and Bedarra Island are much better at this. - service at main bar: there was one time when I was waiting at the main bar to order a drink for 10 minutes while those behind the bar chose to ignore me. It was only around 4pm so it was not busy. I found this quite rude and not something I had experienced at a resort of this calibre before. I ended up walking away from the bar without any acknowledgement from staff. - quality of the rooms: the TVs are a major bugbear - they are old and difficult to use with no ability to simply click on a streaming service app such as Netflix. Instead guests need to jump through hoops and scan various codes to mirror your phone app to the TV. In this day and age where good TVs are relatively cheap, there is really no excuse for this in a resort of this calibre. Also, the 2 bedroom doors in our room would not close properly and banged all night, which was quite frustrating. There was also dirt and old food under the couch cushions which was gross. - lamb served by the adult pool- some of the lamb I received was extremely fatty and inedible. For $29 a pop this was not good enough. The chef should not plate fatty undercooked lamb. While some of the above points may seem picky, if a resort is looking to operate in this price bracket then they are important to get right.

If you’re on a weekend getaway with young kids, I’m sure it’s great. As a couple traveling from oversees on a bucket list trip, this isn’t a luxury experience. Contrary to the advertisement, there is only public beach access and no services are offered except for on a bluff, a very crowded main pool or a small adult pool. The daily staff was super sweet but be aware that this isn’t a 5-star hotel.

The Resort is quite amazing, full of nature, beauty and calm. We especially enjoyed The Beach Club. The staff, especially the buggy drivers, reception girls and Daniel in the Bar and Eric both in the Azure Restaurant were standouts. The food in the Azure Restaurant was of a high standard, but the family birthday lunch was unfortunately marred by a restaurant glitch. We had originally booked our lunch three (3) weeks out and we confirmed the booking personally the night before but at no stage were advised we would be having a set menu. This didn’t suit us at all and if we had been advised we would have lunched elsewhere. The set dishes were not what we were looking forward to, having sent copies of the menu to our family before and more importantly the wastage was huge, with a table of 12 adults and 2 toddlers.
