Vagabond Inn Buttonwillow North I-5

Second stay here! When I return to an accommodation, its usually because of the staff! The Vagabond Buttonwillow is no exception! From the GM, Kathy and George and Stephanie- such an award winning and friendly team! A great location for me when working outside of LA, and such a pleasant and accommodating staff- why wouldnt anyone stay here. The free coffee and breakfast is not advertised on line, but is always a nice added touch. Some may say " its only waffles and cereal", I say " what are you complaining about its a free extra value built into the already low price! If you want bigger varierty, Starbucks is 2 blocks away. The pool is nice and clean and enjoyable too. Great place!

For all you laborers and blue collar workers… breakfast was out by 2 am. Ill take that waffle n coffee. Ty

This is the worst motel I have ever stayed in. The bedsheet had cigarette burn holes and there was hair in the tub.....and that was the good part. At the "breakfast", they only had cereal, nothing else. Although the sign said "juice", they didn't have any. The milk was warm and not kept on ice. There was a waffle maker but no batter. Cockroaches were walking across the cereal county and on the waffle maker. I was repulsed and disgusted. I immediately told the woman at the front counter and she ignored me. I tried again to show her where I saw the roaches, I open a drawer under the waffle maker and she told me, "I'm not supposed to do that." I complained at checkout and they offered me 10% off my bill but never got it. I emailed twice the motel and their corporate headquarters and have been ignored with no response. Do not stay at this location. They are rude, it's disgusting, roaches, and they don't care about their guests.

for a night for 40 dollars, not bad. From 2 am they offer early coffee and cereal for free. so the option for a long road to stop for the night and go on, good.

Basic travel accommodations, had everything we needed. Very good access to food, fuel and the freeway.
