Very good room. Very slight housekeeping issues back splash in the shower had quite a lot of previous soap splashes on it and a small amount of mould. The double bed was on the small side. None of it was a big issue for us. Definitely would have liked a bigger bed ( probably my mistake not checking) can't complain about the hotel at all really. The problem we had was the general area nothing to do really ( not the hotel's fault) we found the local people in a certain pub very aggressive. Definitely not welcoming. This is why we only spent 1 of our 2 nights.

Excellent hotel with a fabulous view of the sea. Room was spacious and very clean. Staff really friendly. We will certainly be returning soon.

Very nice, clean, quiet hotel right on the sea front near the pier and not too far from the town centre. The double room was the right size, a bit on the warm side as the window wont open fully but a fan was provided. The bathroom was very clean and the shower, although not powerful was ok. Not much storage space for a long stay but we were only there for 1 night. Check in was fine and slightly before time. Downsides would be the stairs are quite steep and there is no lift so not very disable friendly. There is also limited parking, only about 5 or 6 spaces. Although a nice hotel and we would stay there again its a bit expensive for room only as there is no bar or restaurant.

My partner and I have stayed here many times and keep going back... because apart from being a Prime location the hotel is a lovely place to stay well looked after very clean and the beds are very comfortable... the proprietor is a really nice guy always helpful and friendly.. I love burnham on sea and staying at the Clarence just makes it all the more special thank you Trish 😊

Great hotel
Great hotel with a lovely view of the sea from our room (12). Super friendly staff. Spotlessly clean. We will certainly visit again and highly recommend to others.

This looked a nice place to stay for a last minute trip. Parking and Seaview room. The landlady was friendly and helpful on arrival with a map of local facilities. Room 21 is spacious but double bed could be bigger. Nice spacious bathroom. Very useful veranda to chill in. We couldn't get hold of the owners on the 1st evening as we thought the heating needed putting on more. They did ring back next morning. They provide spare tea coffee etc in reception. Not sure if they clean guest rooms each day? as we were having a kip from 1pm till 4pm on our full day of visiting which might be when they spuce up your room.

DO NOT STAY IN ROOM 14!! A clean hotel with plenty of security cameras (imagine Big Brother!!) but room #14 should have remained a cleaners cupboard. Small and compact with no natural ventilation and tiny ensuite. The only window was internal and didn’t open fully to the internal corridor - sadly according to the fire escape plan there were other similar rooms but because we didn’t enter those it would be incorrect to assume.

Great base for our weekend away and super friendly. Room was clean and tidy. Loved big windows, with a great sea view. Access to the town was brilliant. With a good selection of cafes and restaurants. Managed to get a car parking space as not many for the size of the hotel. Although owner explained all the options . Loved the bathroom. Hot water in shower and basin. Bus stop outside hotel for bus to Weston super mare.

Beaitiful place to stay
Amazing room with a sea view. Arrival on site we were greeted by the wife one of the owners. She was very plesant and explained in detail the availability around the area. Room was nicely decorated with tea & coffee available
