Bathroom: Foul smell from toilet. Travel lodge's shower will be far better.
Room: too old and too hot.
Nice receptionist at check in.
I checked in at night 11:30pm, My understanding was a late checkout of 2.30pm was agreed in the morning around 7:00am at no extra cost. A different receptionist lady at checkout contacted me twice or thrice within a span of 1 hour around 12.noon to state that I need to pay £30 for late checkout. My 3 star review doesn't include this experience and is purely based on my view of the proeperty to help updating it. Thanks for your service.

A few tweeks with housekeeping, and this place could be a 5+ The grounds are lovely, the staff are well dressed and friendly. We have family rooms, and 1 had no tea cups or milk replaced from housekeeping, and I found something on the floor that should have been seen by housekeeping, It was dealt with, but housekeeping should have been more thorough. I also asked 3 staff for a request 3!! And no one got back to me. The sofa beds need an upholstery clean especially if wedding parties are staying. Like I said a few tweeks and it's a top hotel

Having stayed at a few hotels in the area recently. This is our favourite, so on the basis we don't want it to get to busy. The hotel is in a beautiful location, quiet and the rooms are spotless. Breakfast is excellent and the staff are friendly

I booked the Grovefield as it was a convenient location near family and a good price. The hotel advertises as 4 star but it is more 3 Star to be honest. I appreciate that the owners only brought the hotel a year ago and seem to be working on the outside area however common areas like the lift and stairwells definitely need some tlc. Room was clean, bed comfy however cold water tap did not work on wash basin. Tea tray supplies are basic no specialist coffees, or hot chocolate . Were a few noisy and amorous neighbours that kept my husband awake as well Breakfast is OK but nothing special and teas and coffee are just from hot pots no individual Tea pots at your table. We would stay again due to location

What a great hotel. Stayed for 3 nights whilst visiting Windsor and a couple of NT in the area. Great room , good size , very clean with door to garden and outside bistro table and chairs. Great breakfast in the restaurant. Staff very helpful.

This hotel was very clean, and housekeeping staff were very accommodating. The bed was extremely comfortable. My only complaint was there was no air conditioning and it was very hot trying to sleep at night. There was a small fan in the room, but it did not do the trick. The bathroom was updated and the shower was very nice and the water hot. There was a TV, but it wasn’t a smart TV and only got the local channels. There was no mini refrigerator available, so our drinks were warm and we couldn’t save our leftovers. I also asked if someone could heat up our leftovers in the kitchen since there was no microwave available, but they said for insurance purposes they could not. There was also no ice machine. there was an electric kettle in the room with tea and instant coffee, but there was no coffee available. Overall, it was quiet and the staff helpful. I recommend this hotel, and my complaints are probably because I am American. It is out in the countryside and very quiet. Be prepared to take Ubers everywhere, including the closest Tube station. There is a cute restaurant and shopping area a few miles away. We got some good Italian food and there is a convenience store. There is also a great pub called The Bee.
