Sahid Zarafshon Hotel
"The hotel could be much better if they improved their service! Overall, it's pleasant with a nice design. Let's start with the pros: + Great location, with a bank nearby for currency exchange, a coffee shop across the street, two decent fast-food places, and a small supermarket next to the hotel selling nuts, dried fruits by weight, and tea (prices are generally like a market). Tourist attractions are only 100 rubles and about 5-7 minutes away by taxi. + Good breakfast with a wide selection, almost everything you could want, and tasty. + The room was clean. I can't comment on regular cleaning as I requested it at reception for a specific time, and they accommodated me. + The indoor/outdoor pool is clean, and there's nobody there in the morning. Cons: - After 12 PM, the pool gets crowded. Local guys were smoking right on the sun loungers, and no staff member said anything to them. - Upon check-in, the administrator gave me a room that didn't match my booking. I booked an upgraded room, but I was given a 'budget economy' room on the first floor with a view of a concrete wall and absolutely no natural light! (Photos attached). The administrator refused to give me another room for free, claiming they had no rooms. However, after I contacted Trip.com support, he miraculously found another room category for me without any extra charge! A woman before me had the same situation, so it seems they try to scam guests by initially giving them a bad room and then charging extra to upgrade to the one they should have had in the first place. It was a bit stressful, but the issue was resolved in the end. - The shower barely worked; you could only wash under the tap as there was absolutely no water pressure in the showerhead. - The air conditioning only worked on maximum power; it didn't work at all or would switch off on the lowest setting, which was inconvenient. Hotel management needs to control staff who are ruining the hotel's reputation by assigning rooms that don't match bookings, thus spoiling the mood of guests who paid to relax! I also recommend partial renovation or replacement of the plumbing. The hotel looks solid from the outside, but there are clear management shortcomings internally. Fix these issues, and it will significantly improve occupancy and the number of positive reviews! It's all in your hands! I've also included photos of the room I eventually received after the dispute."
Mercure Bukhara Old Town
"Most hotels in Bukhara have rather questionable interior designs, but Mercure isn't one of them. This hotel is beautifully decorated and bright inside. The lobby offers complimentary water and local dried fruits, and the service is excellent. The rooms are a bit small, but that seems to be the norm for hotels of this caliber on this trip. The hotel's location is fantastic, right on the edge of the old city, avoiding the crowded traffic within. It's a 10-minute walk to the square with the Afanti statue and 15 minutes to the Chor Minor Mosque – all easily walkable if you're up for it."
Munis Boutique Hotel
"This hotel is super easy to find, right next to Afanti Square. You really get a feel for the ancient city's day and night vibes while you're here. The hotel environment is lovely, and the service is excellent and friendly. We even got to check in early at 8 AM, which was a huge plus. They offer breakfast, and it's both varied and tasty. Being right in the heart of the old city means everything is incredibly convenient. Staying at Mounis Hotel in Bukhara's Old City is definitely a great choice."
Bobosh Boutique
"If I ever come back to Bukhara, I'll definitely book this hotel again. It's beautiful, clean, and right in the heart of the old city, making it super easy to pop back after a stroll. The breakfasts are incredibly delicious, and the coffee is excellent (they use whole beans!). You can even buy drinks and alcohol at the reception."
Hotel Iman
"The location is fantastic! It's great for walking around the old town and taking a rest, and it's close to Chor Minor. The staff are also very responsive and friendly. However, if you're looking for a cool breeze from a window, you might want to reconsider. The restaurant menu and service are also excellent."
Sarhad Hotel Bukhara
"Great hotel location, the front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The cleanliness was excellent, and the breakfast spread was very generous."
Family guest house Ali Abbos
"Very good family hotel, very homey, and the room is very clean. The hostess will make breakfast in person, and it tastes good, and also take out the fruit of the refrigerator for us to eat, very homey. The host and two children can communicate in English. Sometimes, the hostess also let his boy take us to the door, very warm heart!"
Bakovul Heritage
"Unforgettable! Superb quality 👍"
Khujra Studios
"I loved this hotel. It has a unique style, and the owner is very friendly. It's in a peaceful and quiet location; I highly recommend it."

Dendi Plaza Hotel
"The staff speaks English well and the interior is clean."
Reikartz Modarixon Bukhara
"The environment was awful, and the amenities were incredibly poor. There was only a single, one-meter-wide bed, the bedding was filthy, and the bathroom towels and washcloths were so black, dirty, and hard that I didn't dare shower for two nights. The Wi-Fi didn't work, and the bathroom light flickered like crazy—it turned out the exhaust fan and light switches couldn't be on at the same time! Sigh... For nearly 800 RMB per room per night, the value for money was unmatched!"
Hotel Al Amir palace boutique
"The room matched the promotional pictures and was relatively clean. The pillows weren't very comfortable; travelers with high standards for pillows should probably skip this one. Breakfast was decent, typical Uzbekistani food. It wasn't a buffet; the hotel provides a separate set meal with boiled eggs, naan bread, dried fruit, yogurt, fresh fruit, and hot tea. The room got very hot in the summer; it took a long time for the temperature to drop after turning on the air conditioning. The bathroom was quite small. The hotel itself is relatively new and has a unique decor. Overall, for the price, the stay was very good!"
Hotel Shams
"The breakfast was delicious. It's within walking distance of various tourist attractions in the city, or it's convenient to call a taxi. The room was lovely and the staff were attentive."
Bukhara Baraka Boutique Hotel
"An excellent family hotel! It's conveniently located within walking distance of the Old Town, with the closest landmark being Lyabi-Khauz. You can take a taxi to the hotel entrance, although some of the Old Town's landmarks are only within walking distance. The hotel staff is very friendly and welcoming. The owner turned on the heating as it had gotten chilly outside that night. You can leave your bags at the hotel after checkout and explore the city for a few hours before your train. We loved the breakfasts, especially the delicious homemade pastries, melons, and watermelons!"
Suzangaron Boutique Hotel
"The guidance was poor, we had to share what was on the table and there was only sweet food."
The Tower Hotel Bukhara by HotelPRO
"This hotel is bad. It's definitely not even close to a 4-star; it's a poor 3-star at best. It claims to be new, but everything is old and rusty. All the plumbing is rusty, the bathtub has a crack, and the mattresses are old and very hard, which gave me back pain. Even the room key card was a repainted card from a neighboring hotel that was under renovation. I suspect all the rusty plumbing was also brought over from there. There are cockroaches in the room, crawling right on the bed. The first night, a cockroach woke up my husband, and on the second night, it woke me up. The revolving door at the entrance is a big risk, especially for children. My bag actually got caught in it. Breakfasts are meager, and everything looks stale. This was probably the only thing that matched the reviews. The electricity went out for an hour once. The air conditioning and refrigerator didn't work. Don't fall for the fake reviews. This is the second time I've had such an experience through Trip.com."
Qamar Hotel
"Great stay, just a 20-minute walk from the Old Town! We slept really well! We recommend it, just remember to bring earplugs as the walls are very thin."
Parivash Guest House
"The location is excellent, just a short walk to the ancient city scenic area. It's a quiet spot amidst the bustling ancient city, tucked away in an alley. If you take a taxi, you'll need to look for it as cars can't pull up directly to the entrance. The room was clean, the internet speed was good, and all the necessary amenities were available. Breakfast was also nice. The owner's child can speak English, so communication was easy. I met another traveler who arrived early in the morning after an overnight train, and the owner even provided her with breakfast."
HOTEL AFSONA
"The hotel is decent, though a bit far from the center. However, there's a supermarket and a restaurant nearby. It's perfect for a short stay of a few days. The city center, on the other hand, is absolutely packed with tourists around the clock."
Turkman Madrasah XIX Century Hotel
"Very clean"
Omar Khayyam Hotel
"The hotel is in the ancient city, which is convenient for visiting the ancient city. The decoration is also very good, clean and comfortable."
MUSLIMA HOTEL BOUTIQUE
"It was a wonderful stay. The guesthouse is run by a warm and thoughtful family. The location is perfect, close to all the main sights. The room was clean, and the pick-up service was amazing , it made my arrival so easy. (The Bukhara Old Town is about 25-30 minutes by car from the Bukhara Train Station). The breakfast was great, and the guesthouse has a beautiful courtyard where I enjoyed playing chess and working. It was the best accommodation of my trip. I originally booked only 2 nights, but I ended up staying for 5 nights. Thank you so much for everything! :)"
Lyabi House Hotel
"I stayed at Lyabi House and really enjoyed the atmosphere of the old nineteenth century iwan and the quiet inner courtyard. Breakfast under the carved wooden beams felt especially charming. The Lyabi Hauz complex is less than a two minute walk. In the evening you can sometimes hear guests from the nearby terrace although it did not affect the stay."
OLD Street
"A simple, small hotel, good for the price. Very close to the old town—all the sights are within walking distance."
