"We were on the 2nd journey, our room was very large and in the original style, fit for the bourgeois atmosphere. Breakfast buffet actually offers everything you need for a good start in the day, egg food is prepared fresh on request. The absolute highlight is dinner. Culinary are the foods at a very good level, there is fantastic wine and from its table you have a funny look at the Rhine level. Often the evenings are accompanied by a wonderful sunset, for a romantic holiday it is really the perfect location. I really have nothing to challenge, even that you reserve the sauna on request and these then 1.5 hours It is actually a advantage for itself. Only who is looking for modern and new rooms is disappointed here. But just this dreamed castle charm has liked rooms so"

"A very welcoming and friendly place to stay, as a foreign visitor the staff were very helpful, especially Ida on reception. I didn't have a chance to try the restaurant but the breakfast was of a good standard for a hotel. I shall certainly stay there again on my return to Buhl next year."

"Family of 5. Arrived late and got 2 non-adjacent rooms. Room on ground floor had a severe ant infestation - ants in the bed, bedding and on pillows. Reception said the hotel was full and the manager only offered spray or to wipe the room ourselves. No compensation offered. Second room on 1st floor also had ants. Breakfast was very basic. Staff were kind but couldn’t help. Would not recommend for families."
