"The location is great, right next to the train station u have to go up the stairs walk a bit further then u will see there’s a sign saying ibis budget hotel. The room is clean and the toilets and shower area is separated. The only inconveniences is that the shower area and the sink are opening area, might be a bit awkward if two people stayed there. But the location is excellent and there’s were bus stops right next to the train stations. Overall I would say this is 7/10."

"We came here for our honeymoon and found this hotel to be so very special. Nothing was too much trouble and managing my husband’s mobility issues wasn’t a problem. The rooms are opulent and jammed full of bits and pieces and the gardens are so beautiful and tranquil. We had the chef’s signature dinner one evening and I can’t fault it. We were even asked where we wanted to eat, in the garden or the dining room. It was very hot so we chose the garden. They helped us with booking taxis and restaurants and a big thank you goes to Else, who was lovely and always had a smile."

"The hotel is very old and has very small standard rooms. Others have not been booked, I will not approve. The interior is in line with the hotel style, but the plumbing and room equipment is now time to replace with more modern in my view. Breakfast is excellent, the restaurant in the hotel is very decent, but you need to book and take care better in advance."

"Room on the 1st floor (room 3) very noisy. Noise of footsteps from the room above. No soundproofing noise in the stairs the walls are really too thin No pressure in the shower. Very slow WiFi I had reserved a parking space which at the last moment was no longer available Disappointed with the value for money"

B'Guest Sleep & Retreat
"Quiet location within strolling distance of all the sights, shops and restaurants. We booked 3 of the rooms and all were spacious with everything you would need including ability to make hot drinks. The belfry room is extra special with views from the balcony. We used the pool and garden most days, so nice to have additional space other than a room especially when travelling with other couples and teens. The owners Caroline and Gert were warm and helpful but unobtrusive. We appreciated their advice on parking, what to do and where to eat. Breakfast was such a bonus, all freshly prepared in a causal and relaxed atmosphere. If we return to Bruges we would only stay here and I would recommend anyone do the same, you would not be disappointed."

"The sign at reception states “this is not a Novotel” and this statement is very true. This hotel is a perfect antidote to the beige and soulless chain hotels. The surroundings are excellent, there is a wonderful communal area where families rub shoulders with couples and solo travellers with ease. Rooms were plenty spacious and clean, facilities are excellent - free coffee from a very nice Jura machine as well as a healthily stocked honesty bar which was very reasonably priced. Hosts were welcoming and present throughout the trip without impeding on space. The location is ideal for all the attractions of the historic centre. We will definitely return, maybe even with the children, a really great establishment."

"It was a very pleasant and cozy hotel. The check-in is at the bar around the corner. The shared bathroom is used by 3 rooms on the floor which is not too bad. The location is great as well - close to the train station and about 1 km from the city centre and the area around the hotel is very nice and clean as well. Would definitely stay here again"
