Only stayed one night but found the room charming and very comfortable with all you need including robes and treats if you wish . .Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. We ate in the evening and found the meals reasonably priced and arrive good .Thank you for a lovely stay

A very warm welcome from John , our room was well laid out very well prepared , ready before the normal check in time comfortable bed , the treats available were a nice touch and is based on honestly we were happy to comply if not a bit greeedy , the bar and restaurant atmosphere at the venue is very inviting , breakfast the next day was good value and delicious , a big thanks to all of the team very attentive and helpful

Overnight stay whilst visiting friends for a birthday celebration. We had a small room (pheasant) over the pub. It was very compact and probably better suited for a single person , but for 1 night it was fine. Recently refurbished, the room was well furnished and spotlessly clean, with a really comfortable bed. It had plenty of power sockets and good mirrors which a lot of places don't think about. The only fault i could find was that there was no hairdryer , but perhaps it was hidden and I didn't locate it! A good breakfast was provided, freshly cooked to order with local ingredients. I would stay again, in a larger room, and would recommend to anyone looking yo stay in the village

Didn't receive the warmest welcome...initially ignored by bar staff and then left to wait for 20 mins to be checked in. Room was lovely. Had been recently refurbished and the bathroom was very spacious. Just a shame they appeared to have kept the old bed and mattress. Very noisy down in the courtyard rooms, could hear every word of the room either side of us.

Great location and lovely pub. Friendly welcome and room was spot on. There is a skittle alley if you are feeling like a game. More rooms just being refurbished which will be great. Walking distance of station and all amenities of the town, well worth a visit.

Great location and beautiful food. We didn’t get the room we had booked due to refurbishment, but were given a fair discount off our evening meal in recompense. The heating and hot water was a bit random but we enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

Really nicely done up pub/hotel. The skittle alley was great fun. Friendly staff. We enjoyed a meal in the evening and also a couple of fantastic breakfasts! Lovely area too, great for a walk to see the ponies. A short drive into Southampton for some shopping, a trip to Beaulieu and stroll around lyndhurst. We had a great trip and would definitely visit again! Thank you for having us!
