Lovely room, we were upgraded to a family room and it was very clean and beautiful. Perfect stay, food was good and the staff were very nice. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

Underwhelming. Rooms seems smaller after rennovations but with no wall padding, can hear everything either side of you. If staying more than 1 night they will always enter the room, not tidy but put pillows on top of your items if left on bed etc. Upon arrival they have already charged your card, even though apparently you can pay on arrival. You are then asked for an additional £30 deposit to cover £20 worth of overpriced snackbar in your room. £1.60 for 1 pack of smarties? Its just petty.

Great hotel- great rooms- comfy beds and amazing service both behind the bar and in the restaurant. There were 15 of us spread over 8 rooms- all commented on the quality of their stay.

Fabulous rooms, great staff and atmosphere. Food was good, though we had a few issues.... which were sorted. Very busy for September. Would definitely stay again without hesitation.

My partner and I had a lovely 2 night stay at The Huntsman. The rooms being on a courtyard was a lovely surprise and meant you had your own front door. The rooms themselves were lovely and comfortable. We had a nice meal in the pub on one of the nights and the breakfast was also pretty good. I dropped a star for two reasons: (i) although the room was on the whole extremely clean, I felt the floor had not been properly cleaned; (ii) being wheat and dairy intolerant and therefore unable to eat a lot of the breakfast offering, I felt that the fruit offering could have been a lot better.

Really enjoyed our stay at The Huntsman. Lovely spacious room and huge bathroom with top quality toiletries. We ate in the restaurant on both nights and the food was excellent as was the delicious very filling breakfast. Could not fault this establishment, highly recommended.

Room was great - well decorated, comfortable and perfectly equipped. Good bed and pillows. Breakfast was slow, food was good and service friendly, but very slow. Plus no good if you need to leave early, as breakfast doesn't start until 8am and the breakfast sandwich they'd agreed t provide at 7.30am didn't materialize (chef overslept).

We stayed for two nights as a group of three adults in the family suite, which featured charming artistic décor with a vintage touch. The pub and dining area had a warm, inviting atmosphere, and the owners and staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We appreciated the relaxed 11am checkout and the wide variety offered on the breakfast menu. Dinner was quite enjoyable as well. The refillable Bramley toiletries were a lovely eco-conscious detail. Do note that the building dates back to the 1700s, so the stairs are steep and narrow. The spacious pub garden was a bonus,
