My husband and I have just spent a couple of lovely days at Carey’s Manor hotel . We are frequent visitors there and whatever season of the year and whatever occasion Steve the manager and his great team never fail to give excellent service , With three fabulous restaurant to choose from ,Thai ,French or English cuisine there is something for everyone s taste . The spa and pool facilities are excellent,an amazing place to spend time relaxing, A perfect hotel to relax in and in a great location to explore the forest ,we hope to return very soon . Very poor in all aspects compared with when stayed before. Whole site looks rundown and in need of TLC . Staff seem uninterested , tried to book on number and woman who answered was quite unpleasant and very ' not my job ' . Many better places around that value custom , this business is only going in one direction and sadly it seems no one really cares as standards have dropped alarmingly.

Having stayed at a few four star hotels over the years we found this expensive for what you got for your money. Unfortunately the room was far too hot, the air conditioning didn’t work and there were no fans in the room. Positives. The food was excellent. The staff were really helpful. Really clean hotel and lovely spa. Negatives. Extra cost for cooked breakfast. Lack of air conditioning or a fan. Lack of knowledge from the bar staff about drinks. Cost of spa treatments.

Wonderfully welcoming. We stayed in a superior double with garden view. Very comfortable with great facilities. Staff were excellent without exception. We had been looking for a place to come for our anniversaries and will be returning each year. We are vegan and found the breakfast options excellent without having to ask. Delicious food and it was particularly good that all options (vegan, veggie etc.) were catered for. Also recommend the bar, lots of lovely rooms and outdoor spaces to relax in. Spa was also great. Already looking forward to our stay next year.

An absolutely wonderful experience from the moment we stepped into the hotel reception. Welcoming and friendly staff, a lovely vibe and immediate relaxation. The spa was just perfect and our massages were just what we both needed. Dinner in the Zen Garden restaurant was delicious and staff again, were welcoming and friendly. Our room was really lovely, looking out over the garden in a newer part of the hotel but very quiet and spotless. Breakfast was a relaxed affair with so many choices and we enjoyed another 2 hours in the spa before checking out. All in all, a perfect 24 hours and we can't wait to return for more pampering. Thank you all!

Spoilt rotten from the minute we checked in. We were there to celebrate my birthday. The welcome was warm. I had free Buck’s Fizz at breakfast and all the staff we came into connect with were warm and friendly.
